It had been a while since Naomi’s incident happened. When I checked Twitter, almost no one was talking about it anymore. Everyone’s attention was on Wendy.
Seeing that, I smiled in satisfaction. Wendy really helped me out this time. She drew the spotlight away, giving me time to handle the leftover mess.

Naomi nodded and fell silent.
“While things are quiet, I’m planning to send you abroad for a while to gain some experience. That way, you’ll have a stronger portfolio when you return, and maybe your boyfriend’s parents will accept you,” I said calmly.
Naomi’s eyes lit up. “Thank you, Rosaline. I’ll work really hard, I promise.”
The next day, I booked Naomi’s flight and saw her off.
Once everything was settled, I returned to the office and let out a long sigh of relief.
With Naomi’s situation resolved, I didn’t have to stay on edge every day. Now, it was time to deal with Caden.

“That’s true.” I tried to calm myself down and dialed Caden’s number.
“Caden.” As soon as I said his name, I couldn’t help but burst into tears.
“What’s wrong?” His deep, soothing voice came through, giving me a small sense of comfort.
“Something’s happened to Naomi. We can’t reach her,” I said through gritted teeth, feeling an overwhelming sense of regret. I should’ve never rushed to send Naomi abroad.
Caden paused, not responding right away.
“The news just said Naomi’s flight crashed. I’ve tried calling her so many times, but I can’t get through. The police are searching, but there’s still no news.” I sniffed and continued.
“Alright, don’t worry. Leave it to me.” Caden’s calm and confident voice eased the heavy weight in my chest.
I was aware of Caden’s power and influence. He had contacts all across the Werewolf Continent. If he looked for Naomi, there might still be a chance.
“Okay,” I nodded. “Thank you.”
“You’re my wife. This is what I should do.”
Hearing those words, my face blushed.
I hadn’t expected Caden to be so good with his words.
