“I understand.” I said, my face flushing in embarrassment, unsure of what to do.
“But this is your business. I’m just sharing my opinion,” Cleo said with a polite smile.
I pressed my lips together. My parents had mentioned before that Samuel was the heir to the Meteor Pack, a true child of privilege, while I came from an ordinary werewolf family.
Although the movie had a huge box office success and I’d become a big name in the entertainment industry. to the Alpha and Luna of the Meteor Pack, it didn’t matter.
After we left, I scratched my head, wondering if I should go back to my place and see how my parents felt.
If they accepted our relationship, it might give us some support.
So, Samuel took me to my house.
“Are you the rich boyfriend Naomi mentioned?” My mom sized Samuel up, her gaze not as restrained or gentle as Cleo’s had been.
“Mom, what are you saying?” I kept trying to give her subtle signals.
But my mom ignored me, putting on a serious face. “Samuel, it’s not that I want to break you two up, but with your background, you’re from different worlds than Naomi.”
I rubbed my temples as I listened, while Samuel sat quietly, paying close attention.
“I know your family is well–off, so I’m sure you must have other girls around you who are also well–off. Naomi is just an ordinary person, and I’m worried.”
My mom’s words clearly showed she was concerned about Samuel’s rich background, thinking there must be plenty of girls around him and that he might not be sincere with me.
Finally, we both stepped out of the house and stood on the street. I looked at Samuel and sighed. “What are we going to do?”
“It’s okay, time will tell. I believe your parents will accept me,” Samuel said, holding my hand tightly and encouraging me.
His confidence gave me a huge sense of security.
I nodded firmly and looked into Samuel’s eyes. “Then I’ll work hard too, so your parents will accept me.”
“Okay.” Samuel smiled warmly with a gentle expression. In the soft sunlight, he looked really tender.
I hugged Samuel, thinking for a moment. I realized that the negative rumors about me had been washed away by this movie. If I continued to act well and put out more impressive work, Samuel’s parents would eventually accept me.
Right now, the only one who could help me turn things around was Rosaline.
“We need to find Rosaline. She’ll help us.”

When Naomi and Samuel arrived at the company, I was still keeping an eye on the box office trends. If this kept up, Starplay would definitely be the number one entertainment company this year.
Naomi told me the feedback from both their parents, and I quickly understood the meaning. I nodded and said, “I get it. Helping you is helping the company. I’ll figure something out.”
“Thank you, Rosaline,” Naomi said, smiling as she hugged me.
“How about this? Since it’s probably not convenient for you to go home right now, you can stay at the company for a while,” I said, then turned to my assistant and asked them to clear out an empty office. “But you, Naomi. You’re a big deal now. If reporters find out you’re here, you won’t be able to escape.”
Naomi stuck out her tongue and gave me a playful, obedient look.
Therefore, Naomi and her team temporarily stayed at the company while I worked tirelessly to secure
resources for her.
Almost every day, I was buried in Twitter and communication with directors, waiting for them to announce a new project so I could immediately recommend Naomi.
Although there were some past rumors about Naomi, her talent became clear to everyone after that movie, and she had already gained recognition from many directors.
“Hey, is this Mr. Lawson? I heard you have a new project coming up?”
That day, I was once again working on getting resources for Naomi. Over the past few days, I had already secured quite a few opportunities for her.
But it wasn’t enough. If Naomi wanted to make a real impact, she needed to keep her presence in front of the audience to capture their attention.
“We have an actress in our company, and I was thinking of giving her a chance. Do you think you could give her a chance, Mr. Lawson?”
I did my best to speak gently, but suddenly, the office door was pushed open, and I didn’t notice because I was focused on the conversation.
“Okay, if you need anything, feel free to contact us,” I said, wrapping up the call. As I turned around, I saw Caden standing there, his face looking a bit darker than usual.
