Chapter 245
Brian couldn’t care less about them. He just lay on the ground in stubborn silence.
The young man dragged him into a corner, then pulled out his phone and looked up Brian online.
“Holy shit!” the man gasped. “He’s actually famous online!”
He excitedly shoved his phone in his buddy’s face. “Dude, can you believe it? We actually kidnapped the heir of Noxen Group! We’re fucking legends!”
As he spoke, he crouched in front of Brian, pinched his chin and forced his face up. The man sneered, “Hey, look at this delicate little face. Already in middle school? Wonder how much we could get for you.”
The other man finally snapped. “This is Hamlin’s turf. If you’ve got a death wish, just say it straight.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the door to the room swung open. A bodyguard entered with a tray of food, took one look at the man crouched in front of Brian, and kicked him aside without hesitation. “I thought the boss had made it crystal clear to you people,” the bodyguard snapped.
Doug Ryan rolled on the ground, fuming. “You motherfucker!” he shouted.
The bodyguard gave them a once–over, set the food down on the table, and said coldly, “Our boss has no intention of targeting the Masons. If you can’t handle this, you’ll rot in prison while we find replacements.”
As he spoke, the bodyguard glanced at Brian lying on the floor. “Unbind Mr. Mason. There’s an adjoining room here, lock him in there.”
He turned to Brian again and said stiffly, “Don’t worry, we won’t hurt you. We just need you here to talk terms. I’ll bring your food over in a bit.”
With that, he turned and left the room.
After he left, Doug finally couldn’t hold back and spat, “Fuck! What the hell does he mean by that?”
His companion slumped onto the sofa resignedly, grabbed the takeout box from the table, and poked at the food with his fork. “Doesn’t look half–bad. Guess this’ll have to do,” he muttered.
Doug yanked Brian up from the floor. “I’ll dump him in the back room and be right out,” he grunted.
He shoved the bound Brian into the inner room, then instinctively reached for his waist, only to remember their weapons had been confiscated when they entered the villa.
“Fuck!” Doug spat through clenched teeth.
Brian shot him a fierce glare, thinking, ‘The second these ropes come off, I’m decking him and making a break for it.!
The bodyguard quickly entered, carrying a tray of food. Without so much as glancing at the two men outside, he strode straight into the inner room. Setting the food down on the table, he frowned and demanded, “Why haven’t you untied Mr. Mason yet?”
Wang snapped, “You took my fucking knife! How the fuck am I supposed to do this, bite it off with my teeth?”
The bodyguard ignored Doug’s crude tone and used the knife at his waist to cut Brian free. He said, “My sincerest apologies, Mr. Mason. Once Ms. Hudson agrees to our terms, we’ll naturally arrange for your safe return.”
The instant his bonds were cut, Brian swung a punch straight at the bodyguard’s face.
But he was too slow, the bodyguard effortlessly blocked his punch.
The bodyguard looked at him earnestly and said, “Our target was only Ms. Hudson to begin with. We never expected these two idiots would bring you. here. Rest assured, just stay here comfortably. When the time comes, I’ll personally see to your release.”

The bodyguard paused, then warned, “There’s nothing but woods outside this villa, and a blizzard is raging. Trust me, Mr. Mason, if you try to run out there, you’d most likely freeze to death.”
