Chapter 815 The Truth
Juliet’s POV:
Inside the Whirlwind Pack’s villa, I sat motionless, my eyes staring at the news online.
For the past few days, I had been replaying the video Opaline shared on Twitter.
The werewolf’s face was hidden, but that silhouette–his build, his postures—was strikingly similar to Caden’s.
Yet, something about it didn’t seem right.
I played the video again, watching each second carefully. At one minute and forty seconds, something caught my eye–a wristwatch on the werewolf’s arm.
It stirred something in my memory.
I frowned, uncertainty flooding my thoughts.
I hadn’t met Caden many times, so why did that watch feel oddly familiar to me?
After thinking hard, it hit me. I’d seen that exact watch before on someone else.
I paused the video, snapped a photo of the watch, and ran it through the image search on my phone. Within seconds, the brand showed up.
“Zylarne …”
That was the brand name of the watch.
It also happened to be the one Dayne had always favored.
I’d looked into his favorite items in the past and knew he had worn this brand since he was young. I’d even bought him one through their official website once.
That realization made my pulse quicken.
Was it truly him in the video?
I clenched my jaw, downloaded the video, and made my way to the ice cream shop where Opaline had filmed it.
Thanks to her post, the place was swarming with curious visitors now.
I located the exact area shown in the video, glanced behind me, and there it was, a security camera aimed directly at the scene.
I had to give Opaline credit. She’d picked a very smart filming angle. Everyone caught in the footage had their backs turned the whole time
My thoughts drifted to Dayne and Opaline appearing together in that video. With a quiet sigh, I walked over to the front desk and showed the video to the staff,
“I’m sorry, Miss, but we really can’t keep talking about this. Dozens of people have come by about that same video lately,” the staff member said, her expression uneasy as she saw the video again.

“I’m not here to cause trouble,” I replied calmly. Then I pulled up a photo of Dayne on my phone and showed it to the staff. “Was this the man seen with Ms. Monte that day?”
She examined the photo, then looked at me like she wasn’t sure what to say.
“What is it?” I asked, narrowing my eyes.
“Oh, it’s nothing,” she mumbled, scratching her head awkwardly. “It’s just a lot of people have been coming in lately asking if it was Mr. Holbrook in the video, and we’ve been telling everyone we’re unsure. But the man in your photo… yeah, he really did come in that day.”
Her response sent a faint shiver through my chest.
So it truly was Dayne.
“That lady said she had lost something that day and insisted on checking our security footage. I’m not sure what happened after that, but somehow that video got shared online. Since then, we’ve turned down every other request to view the footage to keep our customers‘ privacy.”
I nodded slightly as she spoke.
I still couldn’t understand how Opaline had ended up connected to Dayne.
“Look, you’ve probably seen the video making the rounds online these past few days. It’s caused quite a bit of trouble for my boss. We’re hoping you’ll help us by recording a short video, and in return, I’ll pay you 100,000 dollars as compensation.”
The staff member’s face lit up at the amount. She agreed right away.
Not long after, I set up my tripod and filmed the staff clearly stating that the man in the footage wasn’t Caden, but Dayne instead.
I saved the recording to my phone, got her banking information, and stepped out of the ice cream shop.
Once I stepped outside, a tangle of emotions settled over me.
One was a man I had once loved; the other was my best friend.
After battling with myself for a bit, I took a deep breath, made up my mind, and headed straight toward Starplay Entertainment.
Rosaline’s POV:
When Juliet stepped into my office, I was still glued to the chaos exploding online.
Lately, I’d been overwhelmed–unable to find a single solid fact to counter Opaline, and the frustration was eating at me.
“I examined that video closely. The man in there isn’t Mr. Holbrook,” Juliet said plainly.
I instantly looked up at her. “You’ve got something?”
“Yeah.” She gave a firm nod and turned her phone toward me. A picture of a watch was on the screen. ‘He’s wearing this watch in the video. Ever seen Mr. Holbrook with it?”
I paused to think, then slowly shook my head. “No … but that alone doesn’t prove much.

Juliet gave a confident smile. “I’ve spotted it on Dayne before.”
“Dayne?” I stared, eyes wide in shock.
Could this really be tied to Dayne, the heir of the Stormbrew Pack?

Without a word, Juliet pulled out her phone and played me the video, a statement from the ice cream shop staff, clearing things up.
Initially, shock hit me, but then relief washed over me. The truth was finally out, and it felt like I could breathe again.
Seeing the pain etched across Juliet’s face, I understood without her saying a word. I gently patted her shoulder. “Don’t cry over someone like him. He doesn’t deserve it.”
She gave a nod and exhaled heavily, then looked at me, unsure. “What should I do now?”
“Go find him, obviously.” I held her hand firmly, giving it a strong, reassuring squeeze.
