Chapter 806 The Final Deception
Jack’s POV:
I kept staring at my laptop screen nervously. Today marked the deadline Barnabas had set for the project. If I could just survive today, Rampage Pack might be saved.
Lately, Stars Pack had kept up the pressure, and I was barely holding things together, depending entirely on Barnabas‘ promise.
But even after eight, the office was still quiet–no calls, no updates.
I couldn’t wait anymore. I grabbed my phone and tried to call him.
But all I heard was, “The number you have dialed is not in service.”
I felt a wave of dread. I tried again and got the same message.
Barnabas had disconnected his phone.
I jumped online and searched for his company, but strangely, it was gone. The business that once showed up everywhere had just disappeared.
How could someone vanish like that?
Cold sweat ran down my back.
My employees were still waiting for news. Now that I couldn’t reach Barnabas, what was I supposed to tell them?
I dropped my head into my hands, completely defeated.
I had given all our money to Barnabas. Now that he had vanished with it, Rampage Pack was left broke and without a project. We were hanging by a thread.
On my screen, Stars Pack’s attacks kept getting worse.
Rampage Pack was barely holding on. And with their pressure growing, we had no way to push back.
During this time, many employees quit. We couldn’t pay their wages or offer any benefits, so more people started walking away.
Right then, Stars Pack finally broke through our last line of defense, and our stock crashed to rock bottom.
It was the end for Rampage Pack.
I forced myself to go out and face everyone. Their eyes, once full of faith, now showed only disappointment. I almost fell apart on the spot.
Still, I stood straight and spoke, voice dry and cracked, “Barnabas … is gone. I’m so sorry.”
Then, I dropped to my knees.
One after another, they got up, packed their things, and left without a word.

Chapter 806 The Final Deception
A few days later, I sat on the sidewalk, staring at the glowing signs and busy streets.
After Rampage Pack collapsed, Barnabas suddenly returned. He announced he was investing in the company. Since I’d already handed him everything, taking control was casy for him.
10 Pearis
He officially declared Rampage Pack bankrupt. Anyone who wanted to stay could join his new company, Cadrose Group.
The group was backed by Eclipse Pack, with Caden and Rosaline pulling the strings.
From that moment, Rampage Pack was no more on the Werewolf Continent.
In Rivemon, a place ruled by money, our pack simply disappeared.
I was thrown aside, stripped of my birthright, and left with nothing–my life turned from glory to ruin.
“Jack?”
Suddenly, I heard a voice I knew well.
I looked up. Jessica stood there.
My jaw dropped in shock. I never thought I’d see her here again. The last time was at that hotel.
I lowered my gaze, unable to face her.
“What are you doing here?”
Jessica’s POV:
I’d already read all the news about Cadrose Group.
I figured right away that Jack must’ve been left with nowhere to go, so I rushed out to find him.
He didn’t know it, but that night we spent together was my first time.
Afterward, my wolf revealed that Jack was my destined mate.
I was stunned, but it made sense right away. That night, I’d completely lost control, and the feelings between us had been intense.
Everything about us just clicked, and the pleasure was overwhelming. It was because he was meant for me.
Watching Jack in such a hopeless state, I felt heartbroken.
He was nothing like the confident man I remembered.
“Jack, my wolf told me you’re my destined mate,” I said as I met his eyes.
Jack froze, then slowly looked up. “I … I know.”
I blinked, surprised. “Your wolf also felt it?”
He covered his face in pain. “I’m sorry, Jess. I’ve lost everything. I don’t deserve you.”
I stepped forward and held his hand. “You still have me, Jack. You’re not alone.”
