Chapter 796 United Retaliation
“And here I thought she’d done something awful,” Nicolas sneered, ignoring every word about Jessica’s misconduct. “But it’s just a foolish girl caught up in her first crush. You’re really trying to tell me who she can or can’t like, Mr. Holbrook?”
“Your daughter’s affairs are none of my concern,” I said, my face darkening as I unleashed my Alpha presence. “But here’s a warning–keep your daughter in line. Otherwise, she’ll end up making powerful enemies without realizing it.”
Nicolas’s expression hardened as he unleashed his own Alpha aura. “Don’t try to threaten me, Mr. Holbrook. I don’t need you telling me how to teach my own daughter.”
“Very well, then. Consider the alliance between our packs dissolved. We no longer have ties to each other,” I said coldly.
Nicolas blinked in surprise, then snapped, “Fine! Just don’t come crying to me later, Mr. Holbrook.”
Caden’s POV:
The next morning, as soon as I walked into the company, I noticed the anxious looks on everyone’s faces. Even the usual greetings felt forced and half–hearted.
Something felt off. When I got to my office, I saw the Eclipse Group’s stock price plummeting on my screen.
I jumped into action, pulling up systems and scrambling to recover some ground.
But barely had I started when the stock took another nosedive.
Frowning, I checked the company website and saw two companies launching a brutal assault on the Eclipse Group’s holdings.
I immediately called my Beta, Yale, demanding an explanation.
Yale’s face was grave as he handed me a report. “Since early this morning, the Stars Pack and the Rampage Pack have been combining forces, attacking our companies nonstop. Our programmers weren’t even clocked in yet, and the firewall nearly got breached.”
The Stars Pack and the Rampage Pack.
Grandpa had just severed ties with the Stars Pack yesterday, and now they were attacking?
And the Rampage Pack had joined them–something I never expected.
The Stars Pack alone was manageable, but with the Rampage Pack in the mix, it became a serious problem.
I clenched my jaw and ordered Yale to assemble the entire Eclipse Group executive team immediately for an emergency strategy meeting
Rosaline’s POV:
I sat in my office, watching the Eclipse Group’s stock plunge online, anxiety tightening around my chest for Caden’s sake.
I quickly called my assistant and asked for a rundown on the Eclipse Group’s current state.
AGU IstanaQVI
Yesterday, the Eclipse Group’s CEO fired Jessica. The Stars Pack wasn’t happy about it, so they teamed up with the Rampage Pack to attack the Eclipse Pack. Mr. Holbrook’s side isn’t looking good right now.
That news made me frown, sinking into deep thought.
I never imagined the usually cooperative Stars Pack would stoop to this.
I’d heard whispers about Jessica’s behavior at Caden’s company. The Stars Pack not only failed to control, their daughter–they were also turning around and blaming Caden.
It was utterly outrageous.
Caden and I were destined mates–what happened to him felt like it happened to me. There was no way 1 could just watch someone push him around and do nothing.
I immediately instructed the finance director to transfer every penny from Starplay into the Eclipse Group’s accounts. Then, I sent all the artists and PR staff under my supervision over to back up the Eclipse Group.
With those resources and manpower behind him, Caden’s situation eased considerably. The two companies joined forces, and within half a day, the Eclipse Pack had turned the tide, restoring the stock price to its usual level.
After confirming with Caden that everything was under control, I finally exhaled deeply.
But the Stars Pack had crossed a dangerous line this time. They’d made their own mess, yet they launched the first attack. That kind of behavior demanded a severe response.
I mulled it over and decided to strike where it would hurt them the most–through their business connections.
I grabbed the phone and dialed a number.
On the other end was an art trading company affiliated with Zephyr Pack from Fostrau, which had numerous business ties with the Grouphonor Pack.
My main reason for reaching out was because the Alpha of the Zephyr Pack and I were close. This Alpha prized their honor and wouldn’t compromise it for a quick profit or dirty deals.
I laid out the Stars Pack’s betrayal in detail over the call.
Just as I expected, the Alpha flew into a rage and expressed deep disappointment in the Stars Pack. Without hesitation, they cut all business ties with Stars Pack and signed a new contract with me.
That deal was worth a staggering 15 billion dollars in art trade–and all of it went straight to Caden’s Eclipse Group.
That massive contract filled the Eclipse Group’s coffers, while the Stars Pack’s stock plummeted after losing such a huge deal.
They were left scrambling in their own mess, unable to launch any further attacks.
The joint counterattack by Starplay and the Eclipse Pack was an outright victory.
