Andrew’s eyes trembled. He looked at me, stunned for a moment, then finally nodded. “I understand. You’ve suffered, and that’s iny failure as your master”
With that, he left.
I then posted online. “From this day on, I sever all ties as Andrew’s apprentice. Thank you for the time we shared.”
My words immediately caused a stir online.
“I feel for Ms. Sinclair. I hope her wishes come true from now on.”
Andrew also left a comment, showing his grace, wishing the two of us a peaceful parting.
And with that, the matter was over.
Evelyn’s POV:
I was happy to hear I wouldn’t go to prison. Just then, the doorbell rang.
Fearing it was someone sent by Rosaline, I peeked through the peephole and saw Andrew. I happily opened the door.
“Master, you’re here,” I said.
“Yeah,” Andrew replied but didn’t look pleased.
I knew it was because of what I’d done, so I lowered my head cautiously, not daring to say more.
Andrew came in and sat down on the couch. “How are things between you and Rosaline lately?”
I was silent for a moment. Since he asked, he must already know something.
“If you already know what happened, why ask me?” I said honestly.
“Do you feel any remorse?” he asked.
My heart sank. I didn’t answer.
Andrew sneered coldly. “Hmph, looks like you don’t.”
I looked at him and tried to explain, “I didn’t hurt her. She just won’t let it go and even tried to get me jailed. But now, the court just told me I’m off the hook. She must be furious.”
Andrew frowned, clearly disappointed in my attitude. “I pleaded for you; that’s why you avoided prison. Otherwise, how do you think the court would let you go so easily?”
“Oh, I see. Thank you, Master.” I bowed to thank him. “But Rosaline is no longer your apprentice. That means I’m your only apprentice now.”
I smiled, thinking my master still cared about me.
“Yeah.” Andrew nodded. Then his face turned icy cold. “From now on, you’re no longer my apprentice. We’re done.”

Chapter 788 Cutting Ties
I was shocked, unable to believe what I just heard. “Why?”
“It’s because of what you did. I don’t want to say more, Andrew said coldly, then left.
“No, please hear me out!” I chased after him, trying to stop him.
But Andrew didn’t slow down. “I have nothing more to say to you. Our master–apprentice bond ends here
Confused, I hurried after him, desperate to explain. But Andrew didn’t even glance back and walked straight
away.
I followed him all the way to his door, but he slammed it shut in my face without a trace of mercy.
“Master, please … please listen to me!” I knocked on the door again and again.
“There’s nothing left to explain. It’s over.” Andrew’s voice came through the door speaker.
I sank to the ground, pained. “Master, I made a foolish mistake. Can one newcomer, after all these years shatter our bond?”
“You clearly show no remorse,” Andrew’s stern voice replied. “Don’t come back. It’s pointless. Our relationship is over.”
His words crushed all my hopes.
I covered my face and cried.
I learned so much from Andrew over the years. Being his apprentice gave me respect in the art world. Now, I was cast out like this.
Lost and dazed, I stood up and left his home.
“Rosaline… it’s all your fault!”
I hissed her name bitterly. If she hadn’t shown up, I’d still be Evelyn–the only apprentice of Andrew, respected in the art world.
I had lost so much because of her!
If not for her, I wouldn’t be in this mess–unable to hold my head high, with Andrew cutting ties.
Clenching my fists, a wave of hatred surged inside me.
Rosaline, I wouldneverletyougo!
