Chapter 772 Be My Apprentice?
“Ms. Sinclair said this crystal ornament was made by you personally, Mr. Bailey. You’d better take a good look–don’t let someone try to pass off a fake.” Jessica leaned in, her words laced with implication.
As soon as she spoke, all eyes turned toward us.
“Mr. Bailey, did you forget? I went to your house just to ask for it. You didn’t want to give it up.” I smiled casually and handed the golden–threaded crystal ornament to Shay.
He took it, and the next second his face turned wistful. “It really is the one. I remember now–it took me ages to finish. I can’t believe you’re giving it to Mr. Richard. That’s thoughtful of you.”
The moment he said that, Jessica’s smug look vanished.
Everyone turned to her, eyes filled with disdain. My crystal ornament was real. Her crystal ring? Fake. Word would get out soon enough–after this, she’d be a joke in the socialite circle.
“I remember that was a long time ago. Didn then. So filial of you,” Shay said lightly.
expect you were already preparing a gift for Mr. Richard back
That drew even more envious stares. They all understood–this master designer had shown up just to back me. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have said all that.
“Oh no, you’re giving me too much credit.”
I bowed my head and smiled humbly. Mr. Richard looked pleased.
“Rosie, you really put your heart into this. You even went to Mr. Bailey for help,” Mr. Richard said, patting my shoulder kindly. That shut everyone up.
Jessica stood off to the side, puffing her cheeks, sulking in silence.
I sneered inwardly. That’s what you get for coming to provoke me. Serves you right.
“Grandpa, she’s always cared about you,” Caden added.
Seeing so many big names speak up for me tonight silenced all those who had gossiped and doubted me earlier.
Clap, clap, clap!
Just then, someone in the crowd started clapping and praising, “Such a wonderful girl, I’m truly impressed.”
A dignified–looking middle–aged werewolf stepped forward through the crowd.
I was a little surprised when I saw him.
Someone who recognized him gasped, “Andrew Lindell?! Even he came tonight?”
Andrew Lindell–one of the most respected masters in the art world on the Werewolf Continent. Wherever he went, people gave way.
“I really don’t deserve such praise, Mr. Lindell,” I said quickly. There were so many elders present tonight, L could hardly keep track. It’s best to stay humble–any arrogance would only invite resentment.

“Filial and well–mannered. Mr. Richard, your grandson really found a gem in Luna, Andrew said with a warm smile, praising me in front of everyone.
“She’s just a child,” Mr. Richard replied modestly.
“She may long.”
may be
young, but why not let her be my apprentice? With some training, she won’t remain a child for
His words left everyone stunned.
The great Andrew, a living legend, had just offered to take me in as an apprentice—an honor countless people could only dream of.
“This… this is too much,” Mr. Richard said, clearly wanting to refuse.
But Andrew waved him off, “It’s not your call. I want to hear Ms. Sinclair’s thoughts.”
I swallowed hard. Under everyone’s gaze, my heart was a mess, but I kept a modest smile and said calmly, “Mr. Lindell, you’re too kind. But right now, I’m not ready. I’m really sorry.”
Andrew froze for a moment, clearly surprised I’d turned him down.
“Alright, everyone must be tired. Let’s sit and eat.” Mr. Richard clapped his hands, and the banquet resumed.
He turned to Jessica and waved kindly. “Good girl, come sit and eat with me.”
Jessica immediately put on a sweet smile, nodding eagerly as she lifted her skirt and walked over to Mr. Richard. On her way, she tossed me a smug little head–tilt, clearly gloating.
I cursed her inwardly but kept a straight face.
A servant brought over a chair for Jessica and placed it on Mr. Richard’s other side.
Dinner began. The clinking of glasses and laughter filled the room. Everyone was enjoying themselves when Mr. Richard suddenly turned to Caden and said, “After you eat, stay with Jessica for a while. Don’t let her get bored.”
