Chapter 771 Public Humiliation
I was a bit surprised–1 didn’t expect Jessica to go all out just to celebrate Grandpa’s birthday,
“Well done. As expected of the Stars Pack’s heiress–very thoughtful,” Grandpa said, clearly pleased, and quickly had someone put the ring away.
“This ring was crafted by Mr. Norris Lawrence. It took him 81 days, every detail carved with care
At the mention of Norris‘ name, the crowd gasped again.
Everyone knew he was the top designer on the Werewolf Continent. No one expected Jessica to actually get him to personally craft a ring for the Eclipse Pack’s Alpha.
“Didn’t they say Rosaline is Norris‘ junior? How come she never got anything from him?”
“Who knows if that title’s even real or just for show?”
Whispers about Rosaline grew louder and louder.
I looked at her, worry creeping into my eyes.
Rosaline’s POV:
Watching Jessica show off in front of Mr. Richard, I couldn’t help but curl my lips and stand up. I reached into my pocket and pulled out something also wrapped in red cloth.
“Mr. Richard, this is my gift for you. I hope you’ll like it.”
As I spoke, I lifted the cloth, revealing a dazzling crystal ornament inlaid with multicolored gems–delicate and radiant.
Mr. Richard broke into a huge smile the moment he saw it, immediately taking it into his hands and showering it with praise.
Everyone around was stunned by the craftsmanship and elegant design of the crystal ornament. One by one, they gathered around, amazed.
“This looks way better than Ms. Sullivan’s ring.”
“Absolutely! The seven kinds of gems alone are priceless, and the intricate design along with the craftsmanship makes this a masterpiece!”
The contrast in their praise for my gift versus Jessica’s was sharp. Her face visibly stiffened.
“The craftsmanship is incredible … Why does it look so familiar?” Mr. Richard examined it closely, and suddenly, his eyes lit up. “This is Shay’s work!”
“It is,” I replied with a gentle smile. You really have an eye, Mr. Richard. Master Bailey crafted it him
The moment those words left my mouth, the crowd erupted. Having Shay–Norris‘ mentor–personally craft a birthday gift for Mr. Richard? That wasn’t just thoughtful–it was on another level.
Caden looked at me with overwhelming warmth in his eyes, gently holding my hand, as if his affection might spill over.
Chapter 771 Public Humiliation
“Mr. Lawrence is here!”
Someone suddenly called out. All heads turned toward the door.
Norris walked in wearing a sharp casual outfit, calm and poised.
“Mr. Richard, I brought a small gift for you.”
He handed over a beautifully crafted item. Mr. Richard quickly had Caden receive it on his behalf.
“I’m here today on behalf of my mentor to offer you birthday wishes.”
“So thoughtful of you. How is Mr. Bailey these days?” Mr. Richard smiled warmly.
Before Norris could answer, a nosy werewolf nearby chimed in, “Mr. Lawrence, you arrived just in time! Ms. Sullivan was just showing off the crystal ring she claimed you had made!”
Everyone nodded, gesturing toward the ring displayed behind Jessica.
To everyone’s surprise, Norris‘ smile faltered. He stepped forward, picked up the ring, and studied it. “This ring… isn’t mine.”
Gasps filled the room. Jessica’s face turned pale.
“No way… Ms. Sullivan said it was a custom piece made by you.”
“I’m sure. This is not my work.” Norris looked at the ring again, then turned toward the stage, spotting me. He walked up and handed the ring over. “Take a look, Rosaline. Since when did my style look like this?”
Norris‘ words left the entire room stunned.
“Quite the lively crowd today. Am I late?”
A rich, deep voice came from the door. All eyes turned. Shay Bailey.
“Shay Bailey? Master Bailey? He actually showed up?”
The crowd was in disbelief. The most legendary designer on the Werewolf Continent–famous and elusive -had arrived in person.
“Mr. Bailey, you’re here too.” Mr. Richard beamed.
“Of course, I came to show my support,” Shay said, walking over and shaking Mr. Richard’s hand.
He wore an outfit in a similar tone to Norris‘, but his aura exuded an even greater sense of dignity.
Then his eyes landed on the ornament in my hand. Squinting slightly, he said, “That piece… looks awfully familiar.”
