“She’s much stronger now. You were the one who left her first. You can’t blame her for being heartless.” I replied coolly, then walked past him. “If you go to the hospital to see Yvette again, I’ll have you pack up and leave.”
Faced with my tough threat, Byron was speechless.
I stormed out of the office, fuming, and headed straight downstairs.
His childish temper really irritated me–I needed some fresh air.
But just as I reached the front doors, I spotted a familiar car parked outside.
I squinted. That license plate … it was Caden’s car.
Without thinking much, I curled my lip, walked over, and opened the passenger door to get in.
“What brings you here?” I asked.
“Wrapped up things at work and wanted to see you.” Caden immediately picked up on my bad mood and said gently, “What happened? Who made you this mad?”
I sighed, exasperated. “What else? Work stuff. I’m so pissed I could explode.”
“You’re already out–don’t think about it anymore.” He spoke softly, then leaned toward me, reaching out.
As he came closer, my face burned. I covered it and shut my eyes.
“Ha…” Suddenly, I heard him chuckle teasingly by my ear. “Ms. Sinclair, did you think I was going to kiss you?”
“N–no!” I stammered.
“Oh? Really?” He lifted my chin and gave me a light kiss on the lips.
The kiss was both cold and soft. I closed my eyes again, ready to respond.
But the next moment, he let go and reached behind me to buckle my seatbelt.
“Gotta follow traffic rules. Buckle up.”
“You-!” I realized he was messing with me. My face burned hotter, completely flustered.
He burst out laughing, then turned the wheel and drove off from Starplay.
Eventually, he pulled up outside a movie theater.
That was when I realized what he had in mind. I smiled subtly. “What’s this? The great Mr. Holbrook suddenly feels like going on a date?”
“Naughty. He gently tapped my nose, eyes full of warmth,
I sighed quietly. Ever since our company ran into trouble, we’d both thrown ourselves inte fixing tblure.

Caden got out of the car, walked around quickly, and bent down like a gentleman to open the door for me. Then he held out his hand. “This way, my princess.”
I smiled faintly, placed my hand in his, stepped out, and stood up.
Naturally, I linked arms with him, and the two of us walked into the theater like any regular couple.
He’d already bought the tickets–Row 4, Seats 13 and 14.
I love you?
I hadn’t expected him to be this smooth now.
By the time the movie ended, I was already feeling sleepy. It was a romance film–not really my thing.
We were already married, but since he wanted a little romance, I stayed awake for his sake.
Noticing how tired I was, Caden put his arm around my shoulder. “Come on, let’s get you some new clothes.”
“Huh?” I hesitated. “Don’t you have the housemaids buy new stuff every season? I already have more than enough at home.”
“Liar.” He didn’t even give me a chance to refuse. “There’s no such thing as ‘enough clothes‘ for a woman. You’re my woman–you should wear something new every day.”
Laughed. No idea where he learned all this from, but he was really pulling it off.
And just like that, he dragged me into a luxury boutique. Unlike most guys who just sit and wait, he stayed by my side and helped me pick things out.
That made me genuinely happy. I never thought I’d see this side of him.
By the end of the afternoon, his hands were full of shopping bags in all sizes, while I was only holding a cup of coffee.
We looked like any regular couple out on a date. Unless someone looked closely, they’d never guess we were the CEOs always trending online.
I found a spot to sit and rest when Lsuddenly spotted two werewolves walking toward us. They looked -familiar.
I squinted and realized one of them was Connor!
I raised a brow, surprised.
Next to him was a delicate, petite she–wolf. Connor? Out shopping with a young girl like that?
