By the time Grayson finished comforting Stella and got her to the hospital, he felt inexplicably restless.

Remembering that I had worked tirelessly for half a year on this hunting plan, he forced himself to calm down.

He knew pack development mattered most to me. He’d deliberately demanded me transfer everything, certain I’d refuse.

That way he could reasonably refuse the dissolution.

But he hadn’t expected to impulsively sign in anger.

After much thought, Grayson tried contacting me through mindlink.

“There’s an issue with next quarter’s hunting plan. Come to my office and let’s discuss it face-to-face.”

But he discovered I’d completely blocked his mindlink.

The next second, his beta assistant’s call came through.

“Alpha, this is bad! All our important hunting grounds and mineral veins have been taken by other packs!”

“They used exactly the same defensive arrangements and attack routes as us. They even knew the locations of our most secret

traps perfectly!”

Grayson stood in the hospital corridor, his breathing stopped cold.

When he processed what he’d heard, he raised his voice sharply, roaring out of control:

“What did you say?”

“Those defensive arrangements and trap locations are the pack’s highest classified secrets! How could outsiders know them? What the hell are you all doing?”

“Isn’t Aria responsible for those areas? Where is she? Go find her! Do you need to ask me about every little thing?”

His beta subordinate froze instantly, too shocked to speak.

After a long pause, he stammered:

“Alpha… after you left the Pack House office, Aria left too. She never came back, and the elder said-”

The conversation cut off abruptly as Grayson snarled:

“Said what? Speak up!”

“The elder said Miss Aria has applied to become a free wolf. She’s no longer a member of Blackwater Pack. She won’t be managing pack defense or hunting anymore.”

He went rigid, disbelief in his voice:

“What? Applied to be a free wolf? Who approved it? She can’t do anything without my signature-she’s a core pack member!”

“But… Miss Aria’s application already has your signature, Alpha. The process is complete…”

The world hit pause in that moment.

Grayson’s eyes widened as scenes from the office kept flashing through his mind.

The mate bond dissolution agreement he’d signed had three signature lines. A normal agreement only needed two copies-there

was no reason for him to sign a third time.

I had actually tricked him just to leave Blackwater Pack?

Grayson frantically ran his hands through his hair and snapped;

“Got it. I’ll contact her myself.”

“You go investigate which wolf pack took our hunting grounds. Check if we have any past grudges. If there are traitors in the pack

and you don’t find them, you won’t be staying in the warrior unit!”

He ended the call directly.

In twelve years of leading the pack, he’d never been this panicked.

Before, whenever problems arose, I was always by his side.

The two of them would discuss strategies, and issues would resolve themselves.

But now I wanted to dissolve their mate bond.

He had to fight alone.

Endless exhaustion and defeat overwhelmed him.

Grayson suddenly felt like his twelve years of struggle had lost all meaning.

Losing all the important hunting grounds and mineral veins meant their food and resource reserves for winter were basically

gone. If they couldn’t get them back, the pack would face the most serious survival crisis since its founding. He could barely control his wolf-he wanted to go crazy, to roar.

To vent all the emotions in his heart.

But a passing healer noticed and shot him a cold look.

“Alpha, please keep quiet. No noise is allowed in the hospital.” The nurse pointed to the warning sign on the wall and walked

away.

Grayson took a deep breath, his mind full of this morning’s confrontation with me in the office.

We’d just had an occasional argument-why did I need to get this angry?

The pack’s defense and hunting areas were all established and managed with my involvement.

Now that something had happened, even if we were about to dissolve their mate bond, I was still a pack member.

I should be united with him.

Thinking this, some of the frustration in his heart finally dissipated.

He pulled out his phone and tentatively sent me a message.

“Are you home? You don’t need to rush to move out. You can keep living there until you find a place-the house is half yours

anyway.”

“Sorry about this morning. I was too impulsive. I didn’t mean anything by it. Stella is my secretary, and if I’m too biased toward

you, it might dishearten other pack members.”

“The pack is in trouble. If you have time, call me back. Let’s discuss it.”

His heartbeat almost reached his throat.

He hit send with trembling fingers.

But the next second, he discovered that he had already been blocked by me.

I had blocked him.

His typing fingers froze.

All the blood in Grayson’s body went cold.

It was just dissolving our mate bond- the Alpha council hadn’t even officially approved it yet. We were still nominally mates,

and we still had the pack we’d built together.

They were still the pack’s co-founders and leaders.

Did I really need to be this ruthless?

Grayson’s eyes suddenly reddened. He was about to call me directly.

The next second, the hospital room door opened.

Stella emerged, covering the wound on her arm, looking pitiful.

“Alpha, I’m fine. You don’t need to wait here for me.”

“Has Luna… calmed down?”

“I’m sorry. I was too thoughtless and made Luna angry. Should I go apologize to her? Dissolving a mate bond isn’t a small matter

-Luna was just saying it in anger.”

Grayson took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down, and said slowly:

“Our hunting grounds and mineral veins have been taken. The other side knows our defensive arrangements and trap locations.”

“What do you think about this

situation?”
