Chapter 754 A Complete Failure
Wendy’s POV:
Staring at the vicious insults flooding the internet, I was once again overwhelmed by panic.
The 100,000 dollars the company had received from that mysterious figure had barely kept us afloat, but even that lifeline was running out fast. And now, my latest scandal had made things worse–our reputation was in shambles. Several clients had already terminated their contracts with Wild Pack.
“What did you do this time?” Michael’s voice rang out from outside, laced with suspicion. It shattered what little composure I had left.
The plan had carefully crafted failed to sabotage Rosaline and Caden’s relationship and also completely backfired, leaving me drowning in trouble.
That mysterious man? He stopped answering my calls. The promised one million dollars? Gone. Nothing but an illusion.
The whole incident had exploded online, spiraling completely out of control.
I was consumed with regret, locking myself in my room, refusing to eat or drink. I couldn’t stop replaying my mistakes, hating myself more every passing hour.
Michael, too, was humiliated. It was bad enough for anyone to deal with a public scandal, but having it be his sister? It was unbearable.
That night, I hastily deactivated my Twitter account. Michael, disheartened, decided it was time to relocate the company overseas.
There was no longer a place for Wild Pack in Rivemon.
Once the plane tickets were booked, our entire family packed up and left the city in a hurry.
As I sat on the plane and looked out the window, I couldn’t help feeling a pang of reluctance. After all, this was the city I’d called home for over 20 years.
But now, with my reputation completely ruined, I had no right to stay here.
Leaving was the only choice I had left.
Rosaline’s POV:
After Wendy deactivated her Twitter account, the once–prominent Wild Pack vanished from Rivemon without a trace, slipping out of the public eye entirely.
Sitting in my office, I let out a long breath when I heard the news.
No more harassment from Wendy. No more drama aimed at my company or Caden. That, in itself, was a relief.
I picked up the teacup from my desk and took a small sip. Just then, Byron suddenly burst through the
door.
“What now?” I asked, already bracing for a headache.

Sweat dotted his forehead, and he looked visibly flustered..
“Did you check Twitter today?”
“Twitter?” I frowned. “Didn’t we just deal with Wendy’s account being deactivated? What now?
“Forget about Wendy–just take a look!” Byron was practically panicking as he shoved his phone into my hands.
The headline hit me like a brick: “Starplay Entertainment’s Director Caught in a Suspected Secret Relationship with New Employee Yvette.”
My eyes widened. I looked at the screen, then at Byron. “You …
you two?”
Byron scratched his head awkwardly. “I didn’t think it’d get found out…
Judging by the look on his face, I knew this wasn’t just some baseless rumor.
“When did this start? Why didn’t I hear a word about it?” I asked, recalling how attentive and gentle he’d been toward Yvette lately. It all made sense now.
To be fair, I had been swamped with work these past few days and hadn’t paid much attention.
“Forget about that for now–just help me figure out what to do,” Byron pleaded.
“You can kiss your year–end bonus goodbye,” I said coldly, then started scrolling through the trending posts on Twitter.
The photo showed Byron shielding Yvette in a café. Her face was bright red–she already looked small and adorable, and with Byron standing protectively in front of her, the two of them looked like a couple straight out of a drama.
“She was tricked into going there by some random werewolf,” Byron explained, looking at the photo. “I rushed over and stood in front of her to protect her, but the guy was sneaky and snapped that photo anyway.”
“Who was it?” I asked. If someone could track/Yvette down like that, they weren’t just some random
stranger.
“He had black–rimmed glasses and a hat. I didn’t recognize him,” Byron said with a helpless shrug. “I was too focused on Yvette and didn’t even notice the guy.”
I let out a sigh. “What’s done is done, but right now, the bigger problem is the optics. This company has a strict no–dating policy, especially for secret relationships. And Yvette? She’s a rookie who has just started to gain a foothold in the entertainment industry. A rumor like this could ruin everything.”
“So what do we do?” Byron asked anxiously.
I shook my head. “Let’s monitor the situation for now. See how far this news spreads.”
