Staging a Scandal
“I’m Naomi’s brother,” the werewolf said coldly, raising an eyebrow.
“You’re lying. Naomi doesn’t have a brother,” Byron scoffed, denying it.
“What?” I immediately realized I’d been tricked.
“Who are you? Why did you trick me here?” I glared at the werewolf, anger rising.
“Heh…” The werewolf sneered, offering no response as he stepped past us, ready to leave.
“Stop!” Byron called out, his eyes narrowing as he demanded, “Who are you? Why did you want Yvette to come here?”
“You’ll find out soon enough,” the werewolf replied indifferently, then walked away.
“Are you okay?” Byron turned to look at me.
I shook my head, though my body was still trembling slightly.
He bent down, gently stroking my head, comforting me. “Don’t be scared. You shouldn’t trust strangers so easily from now on.”
Byron’s touch was so gentle that an indescribable feeling stirred inside me.
Wendy’s POV:
Wild Pack’s stock had plummeted, and I couldn’t reach Eleanor. I was on the verge of a breakdown.
Michael had already sold the villa to keep the company afloat. As someone who’d never had to worry about food or clothes growing up, this was the first time I’d faced such a crisis.
Just as I was sinking into despair, I suddenly received a text message.
I opened the message and froze.
Someone had just transferred 100,000 dollars into my account. This was undoubtedly the last straw to save Wild Pack!
At that moment, another message came in from an unknown number.
“Do whatever it takes to ruin Caden and Rosaline’s relationship. Once it’s done, I’ll give you another million.”
I stared at my phone, realizing that the person who had just transferred the money was the same one sending these messages.
“Who are you?” I sent a reply but got no response.
I tried calling, but the number was unreachable. It seemed like this “kind person” didn’t want me to contact
them.
A hundred thousand wouldn’t be enough to keep a company afloat for long. So, if Wild Pack wanted to survive, it would depend on that promised one million.

But thinking about how Caden treated me in the past made me hesitant to do anything without through.
I heard Michael’s frustrated voice from outside. I frowned. I couldn’t keep living like this anymore!
I gripped my phone tightly and sat at the vanity.
I started applying makeup, mimicking Rosaline’s style, then changed into the pale yellow gown she wore the last time she made a public appearance.
Our figures were nearly identical. From behind, it was hard to tell us apart.
As I looked at myself in the mirror, a wave of hatred washed over me.
Someone as wonderful as I was reduced to this state by Caden.
This time, I would make Caden pay the price!
I took a cab to Caden’s company and stood downstairs. This time, I had learned my lesson. I didn’t walk in but stood on the steps, facing away from the front desk, waiting for Caden to arrive.
As expected, the receptionist saw my back and mistook me for Rosaline. She immediately called the CEO’s office to inform them that Rosaline was here.
I overheard everything and couldn’t help but sneer.
Soon, Caden rushed out of the company and approached me from behind. Just as he was about to wrap his arms around my waist, he paused, sensing something was wrong.
He stopped and took a step back. “Who are you?”
I turned to face him, smiling. “It’s me. Have you forgotten me so quickly?”
“You still dare to show up,” Caden said coldly, turning his face away, unwilling to even look at me.
I burst into laughter. Before Caden could react, I lifted my gown and ran off without looking back.
I achieved what I wanted. I had someone take pictures of Caden trying to hug me a moment ago.
After a little bit of editing, this would be a huge scandal that would rock the entertainment industry.
This time, I’d see how Caden and Rosaline could stay unscathed.
Rosaline’s POV:
I received an email on my phone.
When I opened it, I saw a video with Wendy’s face. She was standing outside Caden’s company, smiling like a woman in love.
Just then, Caden slowly approached her from behind, his eyes filled with tenderness. From that angle, it looked like they were tightly embracing.
I felt a wave of disgust. It was Wendy again!

The next second, Twitter’s trending searches blew up again, and it was the video Wendy had just posted.
My face darkened. Enough w
nough.
I still hadn’t dealt with Connor’s situation, and now I had to divide my attention to deal with Wendy’s
mess!
The video was clearly edited, but the angle it was filmed from was so clever that if someone didn’t pay close attention, they’d truly believe the two of them were having an affair.
But this move was too low–level for me. I immediately had someone check the security footage at the entrance. As expected, the moment Caden saw Wendy, they had a fight.
And Wendy’s video was clearly edited. They made sure to film her face so clearly, obviously wanting to tell netizens who the two people were and draw attention to herself.
I didn’t hold back either. I directly posted the security footage online with the caption, “Copying someone’s style just to seduce their husband?”
As soon as the video was out, public opinion shifted drastically.
Netizens began angrily condemning Wendy. It was her causing trouble again, just like last time. The flood of insults poured in, all aimed directly at her as the instigator.
