Chapter 745 Hiding at Home
Caden looked clearly upset.
“What are you doing here?” I frowned, sensing something was wrong with him.
“Am I not allowed to come?” he snapped, his face dark with frustration.
“What’s wrong? Why so tense?” I quickly stood up and tried to calm him down.
Finished
Lately, I’d been busy pulling strings for Naomi and had barely paid attention to the Eclipse Pack’s heir.
But Caden turned away, refusing to let me touch him.
“I’m a bit busy these couple of days. I will find you in a few days when I am free, okay?” I coaxed him gently, but my eyes kept drifting toward the unfinished task.
He just stared at me, raised an eyebrow, and finally said with a sigh, “It’s fine. Go do your thing.”
His cold attitude left me speechless. I reached out to hold his hand, but he dodged me again.
I was annoyed and amused. The dignified CEO was actually acting jealous like a little girl.
“Come on, don’t be mad,” I said, walking up to him again. But he turned his head away once more.
I was at a loss. Who would’ve thought he’d be even more dramatic than a woman when he’s jealous?
“I know I messed up a bit lately, but it’s just work. I wasn’t trying to ignore my dear CEO,” I said as I pinched his face. His sharp, handsome features got all squished together, making him look funny.
“No need to be like this.” Caden took my hand, still looking aloof, but his eyes softened.
“But I insist. Please be generous and forgive me just this once,” I whispered playfully in his ear.
Caden flinched slightly and cleared his throat, trying to keep an aloof face.
Still pretending? I was just about to keep sweet–talking him until he gave in when the office door suddenly burst open.
I shut my mouth. If anyone had seen that just now, it would’ve been embarrassing.
“Rosaline!” It was Naomi. She’d run in, but when she saw Caden, she stopped, surprised. “Oh, Mr. Holbrook
is here, too.”
Caden’s face darkened again the second he saw her.
Naomi felt Caden’s anger rising, and she became so scared that her legs started shaking. She kept looking at me, hoping I would help her.
“Okay, okay, don’t be mad,” I said, just about to coax him, but Caden turned and left.
As I watched Caden walk away, I felt truly lost this time.
Who knew a man could get this jealous? I could only shake my head in disbelief.
“Rosaline, what’s wrong with Mr. Holbrook?” Naomi looked like she was about to cry. “He’s not mad at me

for ruining your private moment, is he?”
“It’s fine, don’t worry about it,” I said with a sigh, then looked up at Naomi. “Did you come by for something?”
“Uh… Samuel’s parents found out we were here and showed up at the office.”
I raised an eyebrow. I didn’t expect them to find out so fast. “Looks like this place isn’t safe anymore. Okay, I’ll move you two somewhere else.“.
Then, I took Naomi and left the company. On the way out, she sent Samuel a message, telling him to meet with us as soon as possible.
I pulled Naomi into a cab and took her straight to the apartment Caden and I shared.
She stared at the luxurious building in disbelief. “Rosaline, is this your place?”
“Of course.” I nodded and led her inside. “With the press and both your parents on your tail, the office isn’t safe anymore. You’ll have to crash here for a few days.”
Naomi shrank back, nervously hugging herself. “No way. Then I’ll be running into Mr. Holbrook all the time!”
I chuckled and told her not to worry. I’d handle Caden.
Just then, the doorbell rang. I went to open it and found Caden standing there, looking irritated.
The air around him was cold, showing how unhappy he was. This made the already timid Naomi even more scared. She closed her eyes and didn’t dare to move.
“Naomi didn’t have anywhere to stay, so I brought her here. You-” I tried to explain to Caden.
But the moment he heard that, his expression darkened even more. Without saying anything, he walked into the apartment.
I was confused. What was he going to do now?
I followed him and saw him grab a few of his usual suits and pack them into his travel suitcase. Then he walked right out.
“Hey, where are you going?” I tried to stop him. But he brushed past me and left the apartment.
