Chapter 261 Real or Not?
“Wilda, should we head out too?” Anthony’s voice broke my thoughts.
I turned to him and asked softly, “Anthony, what do you think about all of this?”
He frowned, “Heidi? She’s a scheming manipulator, ruthless, definitely not someone to underestimate.
I pursed my lips, thinking for a moment before asking, “Do you think she’s a real Tessa or not?”
“Since you’re asking, I’m going to say she’s definitely not the real one,” Anthony replied with a smile.
“You know me pretty well,” I said, casually running my fingers through my hair.
I was sure by now that Heidi wasn’t the real one.
Yet, there were still some things I couldn’t figure out.
How could Heidi know so much about the kidnapping of Caden and Tessa, down to the details only they were aware of?
What was really going on here?
If Heidi wasn’t the real Tessa, then where did the real Tessa go?
Did she really die after falling off the cliff, or …
I had no answers.
I frowned and asked, “Anthony, you really can’t figure out where Tessa went after she fell off the cliff all
those years ago?”
“Uh–huh.” Anthony nodded. “Maybe if you take matters into your own hands, you might uncover something.”
I stayed silent.
Anthony’s skills were almost on the same level as mine, just a bit behind.
If he couldn’t find anything, it meant there was something very strange going on.
We both walked out of the Eclipse Group building.
I dropped Anthony off at the hotel and said, “Thanks for today.”
He patted me on the shoulder and said, “Come on, no need to be so polite with me.”
Then, his expression turned serious. “But there’s something that’s been troubling me.”
“What is it?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Wilda, you knew all along that Heidi would leak the Eclipse Pack’s bid to BPL to frame you. You could’ve told Caden earlier and raised the bid. Now, even though you’ve taken down Heidi, Eclipse Pack still lost the Azure Bay project.”

Anthony’s eyes brightened. “Wait, you’ve got a backup plan, don’t you?”
“Of course,” I said, nodding calmly.
Anthony looked curious. “Wilda, can you give me a hint?”
“You’ll know in a few days,” I said calmly.
“I knew it. When Wilda steps in, she’s unstoppable!” Anthony teased.

I returned to Elderwood and, as I was about to close the door, a familiar figure appeared in my line of sight.
“Jasper?” I exclaimed, taken aback.
Wasn’t he supposed to be on set?
“Rosaline, I saw the news online. Are you okay?” Jasper’s voice was filled with concern.
you okay?” Jasper’s voice was filled with concern.
I smiled. “Come in, and I’ll explain.”
Jasper stepped inside, his gaze fixed on me. “The news says you leaked the Eclipse Pack’s bid price, causing Caden to lose the Azure Bay project. That’s outrageous!”
“Do you believe it?” I asked, a slight smile tugging at my lips.
Jasper responded seriously, “Of course not!”
He thought for a moment, and then asked with a smirk, “Was it Heidi who set you up?”
I nodded. “Yes.”
“Do you want me to help you—‘
Before Jasper could finish, I cut him off. “No need. I’ll handle this myself.
“By the way, what did you need from me?” I asked.
Jasper’s smile widened. “The awards ceremony is tomorrow night. You’re definitely going, right?”
“You just reminded me, I almost forgot,” I said, rubbing my temple, feeling a bit apologetic.
Jasper’s POV:
Rosaline was the same as always, not too concerned about my plans.
What she didn’t know was that tomorrow’s award ceremony would be live–streamed by all the major TV networks. I had everything ready for it.
I planned to propose to her in front of all the werewolves of the continent.
In that setting, it would be pretty awkward if the main character, her, didn’t show up.
Thinking of this, I said seriously, “Rosaline, tomorrow is the most important day of my life. You have to come. Can I come pick you up?”
Rosaline smiled “I promised I’d be there and I won’t go hack on my word”

“Great,” I sighed in relief, then glanced at the time. “How about dinner? I need to talk to you about some things related to Starplay Entertainment.”
Rosaline nodded. “Okay.”
I happily walked out of the apartment with her, and just as she was about to get into my car, Candice suddenly charged over, pointing at Rosaline and yelling, “Rosaline, you shameless vixen!!”
Seeing Candice’s furious expression, Rosaline frowned slightly.
She glanced at me, and said impatiently, “Jasper, you handle this.”
Then she ignored Candice and got into the car.

Seeing Rosaline’s dismissive expression, not even sparing her a glance, Candice’s anger flared even more.
I stepped in front of Candice and spoke coldly, “Stop causing trouble for no reason!”
“Me causing trouble?” Candice pursed her lips. “Jasper, why aren’t you answering my calls? Why won’t you
see me?”
I did ignore her calls, but I didn’t expect her to be this persistent, even following me all the way here.
“I’ve told you clearly–we have no relationship!” I narrowed my eyes. “Candice, stop bothering me, and don’t cause trouble for Rosaline.”
I paused, locked eyes with her, and added coldly, “Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind your scandals making it to the trending list.”
“Jasper, just hear me out-”
Before Candice could finish speaking, I impatiently shoved her aside and got into the car.
With a sharp thud, the car door slammed shut, and I started the engine.
Rosaline looked at me calmly and asked, “All taken care of?”
“Yeah.” I replied seriously, “Rosaline, don’t worry. I won’t let anyone slander you again.”
Once I propose to you at tomorrow’s award ceremony, no one will have anything negative to say about us.
I was looking forward to that moment.
I knew Rosaline well. She probably wouldn’t reject me in front of all those people.
Rosaline’s POV:
I leaned back in my seat and scrolled through the news for a while.
The reports about me leaking the Eclipse Group’s bidding details were no longer there.
Did Caden have someone take them down?
At this moment … he should be at the hospital, right?
I rubbed my temples, and then I heard Jasper’s deep voice, “We’re here, Rosaline. Let’s get out.”
Jasper parked the car in front of a Fostrau restaurant.
“Rosaline, I know you like Fostrau food. This place is really good,” Jasper said with a slight smile.
I got out of the car and walked into the restaurant with him. After we sat down, Jasper handed me the menu. “Take a look and see what you want to order.”
I casually ordered a few dishes and said, “That’ll do.”
The food arrived quickly, and I eagerly dug in.

I wiped my mouth and asked, “By the way, didn’t you say you had something business–related to discuss?”
Jasper nodded, cleared his throat, and replied, “Here’s the thing, for the female lead role in the company’s major domineering CEO drama “The Call of the Wolf‘ next month, I’m considering Naomi Lawrence or Sarah Conti. What’s your opinion?”
I smiled and said, “You can decide on these things.”
Since Naomi became the spokesperson for Eclipse Group’s Ice and Fire series, her popularity skyrocketed. She also landed several other successful ads and became a rising star in the entertainment industry.
Sarah, on the other hand, was a top star under Starplay Entertainment and the winner of this year’s Best Actress Award.
Naomi’s vibe suited the lead role better, but when it came to experience, Sarah would be a better fit.
“I’ll think about it some more,” Jasper said, unsure himself.
The next day, I arrived at Eclipse Group early.
As soon as I entered the company gates, I noticed several Eclipse Group employees whispering and pointing at me.
“I heard Rosaline leaked the Azure Bay project’s bid details, and that’s why our company lost to BPL
“Really? I can’t believe she still shows up to work after that.”
I chose to ignore them and walked right into the office.
As I looked at the flood of promotional material from BPL about the Azure Bay project, a cold smile tugged at my lips.
Did Everett really think he could win?
I had already put a full plan in place for the Azure Bay project.
Heidi’s intentional leak of the company’s bid to set me up was just one part of that plan.
I allowed BPL to overpay for the Azure Bay land, letting Everett get carried away with his victory.
In a few days, the Rivemon city government would make the official announcement about the new chemical park to be developed near Azure Bay.
BPL’s plan for Azure Bay was to develop the largest residential complex in the Werewolf Continent.
However, once the chemical park announcement came out, who would want to buy a home there?
At that point, the land in Azure Bay would be practically worthless.
Everett would have to sell it at a much lower price.
That was when Eclipse Group acquired the land for far less than 300 million.
With Caden’s abilities. changing the location of the chemical park shouldn’t be a problem.

I was planning to brief Caden on the plan, but he was nowhere to be found at the office all day.
Could he be at the hospital with Heidi?
The thought left a sinking feeling in my chest. I turned to Yale and asked, “Where’s Caden?”
Yale shook his head. “He didn’t come in today.”
“Is he at the hospital?” I frowned.
Yale shook his head once more. “No.”

I was focused on my work when, at some point, Caden appeared in front of me.
“Rosaline, let’s go.”

“Where are we going?” I was a bit surprised.

Caden’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Are you interested in this?”
“Not really,” I smiled. “I promised Jasper I would go to see him receiving the award.”
Caden’s POV:
Jasper again!
Was Jasper that important to Rosaline?!
Anger surged within me, and my expression darkened.
Her cell phone suddenly rang with a pleasant tune, and then she ignored me.
She took out her phone, glanced at it, and answered the call. “Jasper.”
D*mn, Jasper called right after we mentioned him. They did have perfect timing.
“Rosaline, are you done with work? I’m outside the company,” Jasper’s clear voice came through the phone.
“Almost,” Rosaline checked the time. “Give me five minutes.”
After hanging up the phone, she ignored me and began packing up to leave.
I couldn’t take it anymore. I grabbed her arm firmly.
“Rosaline, don’t you dare walk away!” I was furious.
Yesterday’s events made me feel like Rosaline still had feelings for me.
The reason she kept pushing me away was because of Tessa.
Otherwise, why would she go through so much trouble, exposing Tessa right in front of me?
Besides, Rosaline once said that she broke off our engagement because of Tessa.

So, I was even more certain that she had never forgotten about me.
I had everything set up for tonight, planning to propose to her again.
But now, she told me she was going to Jasper’s award ceremony?!
Rosaline looked at me as I grabbed her arm, rubbing her forehead. “Caden, you’re hurting me!”
I instinctively let go, and she quickly pulled her arm back.
“I’m leaving,” she said, giving me an annoyed look before walking away.
I stood upstairs, watching as Jasper’s car pulled up in front of the company’s entrance.

Soon, Rosaline came down. They greeted each other happily, then she got in the car, and Jasper drove off.
My heart twisted in pain.
Rosaline walked away with Jasper just like that!
All the effort I put into tonight’s proposal was wasted.
Actually, I also received an invitation to the award ceremony tonight.
I didn’t like to attend that kind of activities and had thrown the invitation away.
But now, I decided to go.
Rosaline’s POV:
Jasper drove and parked in front of a styling studio.
I was surprised. “Jasper, what are we doing here?”
He smiled. “Didn’t I tell you tonight is the most important day of my life? Of course, you need to look great.”
I looked Jasper up and down.
He was dressed in a sharp suit, his hair meticulously styled–handsome enough that as soon as he stepped on stage, he’d have every high–ranking werewolf woman swooning.
“You already look perfect,” I joked.
Jasper’s gaze locked onto mine. “I meant you.”
“Me? You’re the star tonight. I don’t need to dress up.” I frowned.
“Well, no matter what, it’s never wrong to go for something more glamorous,” Jasper said as he pulled m into the styling studio.
I couldn’t argue, so I let him do his thing.
Half an hour later, I walked out in a stunning red gown.
Jasper stared at me, his eyes filled with admiration.

The award ceremony was held at Rivemon’s prestigious Sacred Grand Theatre, set to begin at 8 PM.
Jasper and I arrived 20 minutes early and took our seats in the front row.
The event was attended by influential figures from the entertainment industry–famous actors, as well as Alphas and heirs from various packs.
The reporters were already lined up with their cameras, arriving early at the theatre, eager not to miss anything.
The host for the evening was Dylan Chase, the famous TV personality from Werewolf Continent and also one of Jasper’s good friends.
As soon as I sat down, a familiar werewolf scent reached my nose.
I turned slightly and caught a glimpse of a cold, familiar figure.
Caden?

He said he wanted to take me somewhere. Could it have been the award ceremony?

“Next, the most exciting moment of the night!” Dylan said passionately. “Who will take home the award for Best Actor of the Year? And the winner is-”
He paused for a moment before raising his voice even higher. “And the winner is–Jasper Sullivan! Let’s give a warm round of applause as we welcome the great actor, Jasper, to the stage!”
Amidst thunderous applause, Jasper stood and walked confidently onto the stage.
“Congratulations, Jasper!” Dylan said with a smile. “Jasper has won the Best Actor award for three consecutive years. Well–deserved, for sure.”
“Thank you,” Jasper replied calmly.
Dylan asked, “Jasper, would you like to share a few words with us?”
Jasper nodded, his gaze fixed on me. He cleared his throat into the microphone: “I’m really happy to win the Best Actor award again this year. I’d like to thank someone special.”
Jasper paused for a moment.
Dylan quickly asked, “This person must be important to you, right?”
“Yes!” Jasper replied, his voice deep and serious. “During the lowest point in my life, she was the one who encouraged me and helped me get back on my feet. She’s always been there, motivating me. Without her, I wouldn’t be the Jasper I am today.”
“So, who is she?” Dylan asked. “I’m sure, like me, everyone’s curious to know who this person is who means so much to Jasper.”
“She is ” Jasper suddenly stepped off the stage and started walking toward my seat, step by step.
I watched in shock as he approached and stopped right in front of me. His clear voice, filled with emotion, echoed through the theater: “She is Rosaline Sinclair!”
All eyes in the room immediately turned to me.
Among them, I could feel Candice’s jealous glare.
Caden looked just as shocked.
I forced a smile and silently mouthed, “Jasper, what are you doing? Stop right now.”
Considering how Jasper had repeatedly said that tonight would be the most important moment of his life, I suddenly had a bad feeling.

“No, Rosaline. Everything I’ve accomplished today is because of you. You’re the reason I push myself, because only by giving my all can I succeed and give you a happy life. You’re the most important person in my life.” Jasper held my hand firmly, his deep eyes seeming to draw me in completely.
As Jasper continued, saying more and more outrageous things, I felt speechless. I kept giving him subtle glances, hoping he’d stop.
But he ignored my hints completely. Suddenly, he dropped to one knee.
Looking up at me, he took a deep breath, and said to me seriously in a deep voice like a cello’s sound, “Rosaline, marry me and become the Luna of the Thunderune Pack.”
As he finished speaking, rose petals started to rain down from the top of the stage, softly floating onto both Jasper and me, creating a beautifully romantic moment.
I calmly pulled my hand back and looked at him indifferently.
But inside, I was burning with anger.
What was Jasper doing?!
Was he crazy?
Not only was this a confession, but in front of all these people, he was giving up his destined mate and asking me to become the Luna of Thunderune Pack!
And this was at the awards ceremony!
The entire Werewolf Continent was watching the live broadcast.
Did he think I couldn’t say no in such a public setting?
The truth was, in this situation, I couldn’t turn him down.
If I turned him down, he’d become the laughingstock of the whole world.
It would have serious consequences, both for him personally and for Starplay Entertainment.
I definitely didn’t want that to happen.
But if I didn’t turn him down …
I had a headache.

Caden once told me with such certainty, “Rosaline, trust me, I’ll make you the happiest woman in the world.”
The memory of that day flooded my mind, and I couldn’t help but look down at the audience.
The distinguished man sat in a dark corner. I couldn’t see his face clearly,
Yet, even from this distance, I could still feel his cold, commanding presence.
I stayed silent as the host, Dylan, approached. He spoke with his usual enthusiasm, “Wow, Jasper is truly romantic, choosing to propose at our award ceremony. I’m sure many fans are now jealous of Ms. Sinclair. Ms. Sinclair, what are you hesitating for?”
The audience below quickly caught on and began cheering and urging.
“Come on, let’s all cheer for Jasper!” Dylan called out loudly.
Jasper remained on one knee, looking up at me with hope in his eyes. “Rosaline, will you say yes?”
I pressed my lips together, my mind racing with countless ways to respond.
But none of them seemed like the perfect answer to this situation.
Unless …
I had made up my mind, ready to speak, when suddenly, a werewolf woman rushed up to me. “Rosaline, you shameless seductress!”
It was Candice.
“Candice, what are you doing?” Jasper stood up, furrowing his brows as he looked at her.
“Rosaline, I’m Jasper’s fiancée! The Luna of Thunderune Pack!” Candice snapped, raising her hand to slap

Jasper grabbed Candice’s arm. “Candice, enough!”
He paused for a moment, and then remarked in a deep voice, “Today, in front of everyone, I’m making it clear. There is no relationship between you and me, Jasper.
“Are you going to be this heartless?” Candice’s eyes turned bloodshot with anger.
The audience stirred with excitement, whispering and speculating amongst themselves.

“Rosaline is something else. She just called off her engagement with Mr. Holbrook, and now, in no time, she’s with Jasper, even getting him to propose to her at the award ceremony. Impressive!”
The harsh comments reached my cars.
Jasper finally lost his patience. His piercing gaze locked onto Candice. “I didn’t want to air your dirty laundry, but since you keep crossing the line, I’ll say it. When Thunderune Pack was in crisis, you betrayed us and ran away with another werewolf overseas! The moment you left without a word, our engagement was over!”
“No, Jasper, I can explain what happened back then,” Candice shouted.
“Explain?” I sneered, pressing her further. “Dare to say that while you were overseas, you weren’t with other werewolves behind Jasper’s back?”
“You’re making things up!” Candice glared at me, her face twisted in anger.
“Do you dare deny betraying Jasper?” I raised my voice, demanding an answer.
Candice kept relentlessly bothering me, trying to tarnish my name. I had already gathered evidence of her betrayal of Jasper.
But out of respect for Jasper’s dignity, I had kept those pieces of evidence hidden.
But now, with Jasper’s words, I wasn’t afraid to add fuel to the fire.
As Candice tried to argue, I opened a few photos and projected them for everyone to see.
The photos showed Candice in a disheveled state, with various male werewolves beside her.
As the audience took in these shocking images, everyone was shocked.
People began pointing at Candice, murmuring, “Oh god, who would have thought the innocent piano prodigy was actually like this!”
“What a hypocrite! She has the nerve to call Rosaline a seductress when she’s far worse!”
“No wonder Jasper broke off the engagement. He doesn’t want to be a cuckold!”
Candice’s eyes widened, staring at the screen in disbelief, her face flushing and paling by turns.
After a few seconds, Candice snapped back to reality, panicking and shouting, “Turn it off, turn it off! Stop filming, stop filming!”
Once I saw the desired effect had been reached, I stopped showing the photos. “Candice, you should think carefully about your actions.”
“Rosaline, you’re ruining me!” Candice’s face twisted in rage, her eyes burning with fury.

I could tell exactly what they were thinking, and I was prepared for it.
After all, the Thunderune Pack, where Jasper was from, had faced a major financial crisis and almost went bankrupt.
Then, a mysterious wealthy businessman invested in Thunderune Pack, and helped establish Starplay Entertainment, and that’s what saved the Eclipse Pack from being wiped out.
Jasper became the CEO of Starplay Entertainment, and after two years of hard work, he quickly became a famous movie star.
And I, the owner of Starplay Entertainment, always kept a low profile, remaining a mysterious figure with no public reports about me.
In fact, no one even knew whether I was a man or a woman.
And now, here I was, publicly announcing that I was the low–key, mysterious owner of Starplay Entertainment. You could imagine the shock it must’ve caused for everyone in the entertainment industry.
The hidden boss behind Starplay Entertainment turned out to be a young werewolf woman like me.
Caden’s POV:
Rosaline was the investor of Starplay Entertainment? Was she Jasper’s big boss?
So, the rich girl Jasper had been pursuing all this time was Rosaline!
No wonder when Rosaline first arrived in Rivemon, she was already so familiar with Jasper.

It turned out, Rosaline was the woman Jasper had been chasing for two whole years!
All those stories about her coming from the countryside, being some unrefined country bumpkin … it was

After a brief pause, she lowered her gaze, her cold, steady eyes meeting mine as the casually asked. Jasper, don’t you think so?”
I didn’t know what to say.
All I could feel was the fire in my heart slowly dying down.
I believed that by proposing to Rosaline at the awards ceremony, in front of the entire world, there was no way she would turn me down.
Unexpectedly, she didn’t hesitate to reveal her identity and used such an excuse to avoid accepting my proposal.
In the end, I wasn’t worthy.
A few seconds later, I stood up, saying bitterly, “Yeah, the proposal just now, it was just a promotion for our new TV series.”
Rosaline smiled and said, “The Call of the Wolf is a big project Starplay Entertainment will start filming next month, with Jasper playing the male protagonist. As for the female lead… we’ll keep that a secret for now. Stay tuned!”
I could only smile and added, “We hope everyone will support us!”
But deep down, I felt so bitter I almost wanted to cry.
“So it turns out, the proposal we just witnessed between Jasper and Ms. Sinclair was actually a creative way to promote Starplay Entertainment’s new film! Haha, I’m sure no one saw that coming!”

The awards ceremony finally came to an end.

Just as Jasper and I stood up to leave, a swarm of reporters, who had been waiting impatiently, rushed over.
With their cameras ready, they surrounded me, asking cagerly, “Ms. Sinclair, why did you choose today to reveal your identity as the big boss of Starplay Entertainment?”
A faint smile appeared on my lips. “Today is a special day–our Starplay Entertainment artists have won the most awards we’ve ever received. As the owner of Starplay Entertainment, I’m truly happy.”
“Ms. Sinclair, was the proposal tonight really just a promotion for the new project?”
I nodded. “Absolutely.”
“Can you confirm, Ms. Sinclair, that you and Jasper are not a couple? There have been many rumors about you two,” a reporter pressed further.
I kept a composed smile. “I’ve already mentioned this. Jasper and I are colleagues and close business partners. The rumors are unfounded.”
“I see. So, what role will you be playing in ‘The Call of the Wolf‘? Will you be acting alongside Jasper?” Another reporter squeezed in with a question.
“Let’s not spoil it for now, you’ll find out when the time comes,” I replied, a bit irritated, but still patiently answering the reporters‘ questions..
After all, this was my first interview as the big boss of Starplay Entertainment.
Ten minutes later…
I looked down at the time and said calmly, “It’s getting late now, thank you all for your attention. We’ll have to wrap up the interview here.”
As soon as I finished speaking, the werewolf bodyguards Jasper brought stepped in, ushering the lingering reporters away and escorting me to the car.
Wendy’s POV:
I thought I was just attending an awards ceremony, but what I saw completely blew me away!
I always saw Rosaline as just a country girl, shamelessly chasing after Caden for his money.
I never expected her to be the hidden boss of Starplay Entertainment with such a powerful influence.
How did a lowly Omega like her achieve all that?
I underestimated her.
Rosaline had kept her true identity so well hidden.
“Wendy, do you believe Rosaline is the hidden boss of Starplay Entertainment? That’s impossible!” Lilian’s eves burned with iealousy as she stared at lasper and Rosaline’s retreating figures.

Lilian cautiously glanced at me, “But Rosaline is just an Omega. Is she revealing her identity to try and get back with Caden?”
My expression darkened. “Hmph, no matter what Rosaline’s identity is or how much money she has, I won’t let her take Caden from me!”
Lilian nodded, “Exactly. The position of Luna for the Eclipse Pack will definitely be yours! But remember, Mrs. Holbrook opposed Mr. Holbrook being with Rosaline before because she was just a lowly Omega who couldn’t even be seen in public. Now that Rosaline has such a powerful status, do you think Mrs. Holbrook might-”
“No!” I immediately dismissed the thought. “Rosaline already made an enemy of Mrs. Holbrook. Mrs. Holbrook sees her as a threat, so there’s no way she’ll let her back into Caden’s life.”
I paused for a moment and added angrily, “Besides, we don’t even have to do anything to get Rosaline out of Caden’s life.”
“Do you have a plan?” Lilian asked.
“You’ll know later!” I said coldly.

“Rosaline, I’ll drive you home,” Jasper said, glancing at me before gripping the steering wheel and starting the engine.
“Sure,” I said calmly and nodded.
We remained silent throughout the ride, and the atmosphere felt a bit awkward.
After a long night of chaos, I was feeling a bit tired, so I leaned back in my seat and closed my eyes.
I wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but suddenly, the car came to a stop.
“Are we there?” I mumbled, still half–asleep, as the brakes woke me up.
I looked out the window, realizing we hadn’t reached Elderwood.
Jasper pulled over to the side of the road, his handsome face showing a hint of melancholy.
He had been holding it in the whole ride, but finally, he couldn’t take it anymore. “Rosaline, why?”
“Why what?” I replied, pressing my lips together.
Jasper’s voice was tinged with frustration as he asked, “Why did you turn me down?”
“I should be asking you the same thing,” I said, frowning. “Were you planning to put me in a position where I couldn’t say no?”
“No, Rosaline. I want you to say yes. I want to be with you, and I promise I’ll make you happy,” Jasper said, looking at me sadly.
“Jasper, didn’t I already tell you that we’re not meant to be?” Seeing how he looked, I sighed.
“Is it because of Caden? You can’t move on from him, right?” Jasper pressed further.
I stayed silent.
“You’ve done so much for Caden, but what has he ever done for you?” Jasper became agitated. “Caden doesn’t deserve you-”
“Jasper, I don’t want to talk about this anymore. Please just take me home,” I interrupted him.
He fell silent and looked at me for a few seconds, and finally said, “Okay.”
Jasper drove me to Elderwood and stopped the car.
I opened the door and quietly got out.
Jasper quickly caught up, and said in a deep voice, “I’m sorry, Rosaline. I was too impulsive tonight and didn’t ask for your permission—”

Then, I walked into the apartment without looking back.
“Alpha, I can feel it. Jasper’s really upset, in pain, and feeling lost.” Freya appeared suddenly, offering her a

“I know, Freya. He’s a great friend and partner. But… I don’t love him,” I explained, feeling a bit helpless. “What if the Moon Goddess ties the red thread for you? Would you fall in love with him?”
I fell silent.
Where exactly was the red thread of the Moon Goddess?
And who was my destined mate?
When I returned to the apartment, I pulled out my key and unlocked the door. As soon as I stepped inside, I saw a tall, slender figure sitting on the couch in the living room.
“Who’s there?” My heart skipped a beat, and I demanded loudly.
The man sitting on the couch suddenly stood up.
In the faint moonlight, I was able to clearly see his figure.
Dressed in a black suit, he almost blended into the night. His tall, commanding figure radiated a cold aura.
It was Caden.
“What are you doing in my place?!” I switched on the lights, rubbing my forehead. “Looks like I’ll need to add a few more locks tomorrow.”
“No matter how many locks you add, if I want to, I can still see you,” Caden said, stepping close, and standing before me.
His intense gaze lingered on my face, and his lips curled slightly. “Rosaline, how many things are you still hiding from me?”
“I’ve never hidden anything from you,” I replied coolly.
Before I could say anything else, he wrapped his arm around my waist.
The heat of his touch spread through my waist, and with one strong pull, he brought me down onto the couch.
“Caden, what are you doing?” I asked coldly as I fell into his arms.
I was done playing along. If he made another move, I wouldn’t hesitate to reveal my Shadow Pack Alpha identity tonight.
His hands pressed firmly on my shoulders as he spoke coldly, “Why have you never told me that you’re the owner of Starplay Entertainment, the wealthy heiress Jasper’s been chasing?”
“I don’t have any relationship with you, so I don’t owe you an explanation,” I said indifferently.

Still, it bothered me that Jasper was so infatuated with Rosaline, chasing after her for two whole years.
The thing is, I was actually going to propose to Rosaline again tonight.
But instead of staying with me, she left and went to the awards ceremony with Jasper.
Did this mean
that in Rosaline’s heart, Jasper might be more important than I did?
“Rosaline, come with me,” I stood up and took her hand.
Rosaline was taken aback. “Where are we going?”
“You’ll know when you come with me,” I said, pulling her toward the door.
She resisted a bit. “Caden, I’m exhausted. I don’t want to go anywhere.”
Her strength caught me by surprise, and I stopped in my tracks, turning to study her more closely.
Seeing the exhaustion on her face, my heart softened.
She had been dealing with reporters all night, so it was no surprise she was exhausted.
I spoke gently, “Then, tomorrow.”
She seemed a little confused and stayed silent.
I sighed, leaning in close to her ear. “Rosaline, give me another chance. Come back to me.”
Rosaline’s POV:
His warm breath on my face made my skin tingle.
I froze for a moment, then pushed Caden away. “It’s late. I need to rest.”
Without another word, I walked straight to the door, opened it, and bluntly ordered, “You can leave now.”
Seeing my cold, distant demeanor, Caden furrowed his brows, his expression darkening.
The next second, he dramatically placed a hand on his chest and said, “I feel awful.”

“You just need to check me,” Caden said, pulling me closer, his gaze deep and intense. “I only want you to check.”
I was at a loss for words.

I bet he was faking it!
“Alright, I’ve checked you, and there’s nothing wrong. You should go now,” I said, pulling my arm away firmly.
Caden looked at me with a pitiful expression. “I’m sick, and you’re kicking me out?”
“What’s wrong with you?” I scoffed. “I don’t see anything wrong at all.”
Caden suddenly stood up, towering over Rosaline. His eyes were intense, and his voice was low as he said, “It’s lovesickness.”
Then, he added, “The kind that only you can cure.”
“Ugh, this guy really knows how to flirt!” Freya couldn’t help but shout.

Caden groaned dramatically again. “My heart aches so much! Rosaline, please help me …

Caden’s POV:
How long had it been since I felt this familiar sensation?
Ever since Heidi appeared, Rosaline broke off our engagement and kept her distance from me.
Now, with my strong arms wrapped tightly around her.
We were pressed together, and I could feel her heartbeat quicken.
Was she starting to feel something for me too?
I lowered my head, unable to resist the urge to kiss her lips.

Her soft, red lips came closer to my sight, and just as I was about to kiss her, the phone rang, ruining the

Rosaline quickly regained her composure and pushed me away. “Your phone.”
I sighed, glanced at the screen, and set the phone aside.
Out of the corner of her eye, Rosaline saw the name “Heidi” flashing on the screen.
Her expression immediately turned cold.
“It’s your Tessa, calling for you!” She emphasized the last three words and pushed me away.
The phone kept ringing, and I had no choice but to answer. “Tessa, what’s wrong?”
“Caden, my wound hurts,” Heidi’s voice came through the receiver.
I frowned, speaking in a low tone, “If it hurts, let the doctor check it.”
“But I miss you … Can you come to the hospital and check on me?” Heidi’s voice sounded a little whiny.
Rosaline smirked, leaning in close to my phone, teasing. “Caden, didn’t you just say you wanted to hug me?”
I was taken aback and quickly said, “I’ve got something to do.”
Hanging up the phone, I looked at Rosaline and asked, “Are you jealous?”
Rosaline rolled her eyes, and then suddenly changed the subject. “What are you planning to do about Heidi?”
I met her gaze seriously and replied, “Rosaline, I know you’re bothered by Tessa’s presence. But eight years ago, she saved my life. She’s my savior, and I can’t just ignore her.”
“So, even after she betrayed Eclipse Group and framed me, you can just let it go?” Rosaline’s tone turned colder.
I cleared my throat. “I’ll hold a press conference to clear things up and restore your reputation. As for Heidi, I’ll make sure she’s well taken care of in the future, but that’s all.”

I shook my head. “Tessa has a plum–shaped birthmark on her shoulder, and so does Heidi. Plus, Heidi recounted the events from back then perfectly.”
Rosaline stared at me without saying anything.
After a while, she said, “I suspect that Heidi and Everett have some hidden secrets. Her betrayal of Eclipse Group isn’t just about framing me.”
I reached out to hug her. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure we get to the bottom of this,”
Rosaline calmly pushed me away, stood up from the bed, and glanced at me. “Aren’t you sick? You should

I frowned and asked, “What about you?”
“I’ll sleep on the couch,” she said nonchalantly, grabbing a blanket and heading toward the living room.
She walked away without hesitation.
Watching her retreating figure, I clenched my fists.
I would make sure she came back to me as soon as possible!
Rosaline’s POV:
I walked over to the couch and lay down.
After tonight’s award ceremony, everyone knew that I was the boss behind Starplay Entertainment.
Such a shame, really, considering how I preferred to keep a low profile.
Now that my secret was out, I doubt I would be able to live as carefreely as I did before.
Lost in my thoughts, I drifted off to sleep.
The next morning.
The bright sunlight streamed through the glass window, casting a warm glow over the bed.
I groggily woke up, and as I opened my eyes, I unexpectedly locked gazes with a pair of deep eyes.
“Caden, what are you doing here?” I froze for a moment, seeing the familiar handsome face before me.
I looked around, realizing I had no idea how I had ended up in bed.
Wasn’t I sleeping on the couch last night?

Noticing my flustered expression, Caden chuckled. “Are there any ingredients in the fridge? I’ll make breakfast for you.”

I attempted to get up, but he gently pressed me back down.
Looking down at me, his deep voice carried warmth. “It’s really no trouble. If you’ll allow me, I’d love to make breakfast for you forever.”
With that, he turned around and strode toward the kitchen.
Watching his tall, upright figure disappear, my mind wandered.
It was as if we had returned to the time when we were still deeply in love.
Caden had said something similar before.
It had only been a month ago.
Hearing those words again now left me with an odd sense of familiarity.
Taking a deep breath, I pushed away the unexplainable feelings rising in my chest.
Lying on the bed, I distractedly pulled out my phone and refreshed the latest news.
As expected, last night’s awards ceremony had taken over the trending topics.
But the real bombshell was that I was the secret boss behind Starplay Entertainment. In an instant, the entire comment section shifted its tone.
“Ms. Sinclair is incredible! She’s amazing!”
“So Ms. Sinclair is actually Jasper’s boss, not a homewrecker! We completely misunderstood her!”
“Still hoping she and Jasper end up together, but it looks like last night’s proposal was just for promotion.”
“Rosaline and Caden look perfect together. I totally ship them!”
The internet had completely wiped away all the negative rumors surrounding me.
After scrolling for a while, I put my phone away, got up, and headed to the kitchen.
Caden was busy preparing breakfast when he suddenly winced.
“Ah, I cut myself!” He clutched his right index finger with his left hand.

First, he pretended to be sick last night. Now, he was acting injured today.
The aloof and formidable heir of Eclipse Pack, someone others could only look up to in awe, actually had such a childish side.
“Caden, are you seriously this childish?” I arched a brow, throwing him an exasperated glare.
Before I could even finish my sentence, he stole my breath away, his lips pressed against mine.

Caden’s embrace grew tighter and tighter.
The heat in the kitchen kept increasing.
All of a sudden, a sharp, burnt scent filled the air.
What’sthatsmell?
I sniffed the air, but the unpleasant odor only became stronger.
My gaze landed on the cast–iron pan sitting on the stove. The eggs inside had turned completely black, smoke curling up around the edges.
With a forceful shove, I pushed Caden away and shouted, “It’s burning!”

It was obvious he was pleased with my response.
Hmph, I wasn’t just making conversation.
If he didn’t perform well, I could change my mind anytime.
After that, Caden drove me back to Eclipse Group so I could continue working.
I had the recent sales figures for “Ice and Fire” on my mind and immediately sat down to review them carefully.
Thanks to several upgrades, “Ice and Fire” had seen a significant boost in sales.
However, knockoffs of “Heartstone Jewels” still flooded the market.
Pressing my fingers against my temples, I realized it was time to take action and put a stop to those counterfeits.
While I was deep in strategizing, the desk phone rang.

I gave a composed smile. “Those accusations are completely baseless. Why would I do such a thing?”
“Some speculate that you did it for financial gain.”
I let out a soft chuckle, as if the suggestion was absurd. “Do you really think that makes sense?”
The reporter gave an awkward smile. “Of course not. Now that we’ve learned you’re the secret owner of Starplay Entertainment, it’s hard to believe you’d risk everything for a small sum.”

At exactly two o’clock, Yale stepped forward, his voice steady as he officially began the event.

“Could it be Heidi Tessford?”
A reporter stepped forward and asked Caden directly, “Do you know who leaked the bid price? There were rumors pointing at Heidi Tessford. Was it true?”
With a calm expression, Caden replied, “That person has already been fired and has faced the consequences. I have’no intention of revisiting this issue. It’s over.”
At that moment, a reporter suddenly called out, “Mr. Lloyd! Mr. Lloyd just arrived!‘
Mr. Lloyd?
I furrowed my brows and turned toward the entrance.
There, standing in the doorway, was Everett Lloyd.
Whyis he here?
For Everett to show up at an Eclipse Group press conference now meant he definitely had his own agenda.
Reporters wasted no time swarming around him. “Mr. Lloyd, is it true that your company won the Azure Bay project because someone leaked Eclipse Group’s bid price?”
Everett chuckled, a smug smile playing on his lips. “Nonsense. Our company secured the Azure Bay project solely on merit. Caden is nothing more than a failure beneath me.”
Watching his arrogance, I couldn’t help but sneer at myself.
Perhaps he had no idea what the government had planned for the Azure Bay project.
The official announcement should be coming soon.
I pulled out my phone, unlocked it, and took a quick look.
As expected, the news had just been published online.
Picking up the microphone, I cleared my throat and fixed my gaze on Everett. “Everett, do you really believe you secured the Azure Bay project?”
He smirked, his confidence unwavering. “Isn’t that obvious? In business, the strong prevail. The winner claims everything.”
I met his eyes and let out a sarcastic chuckle. “Really? Then I suppose you haven’t heard the latest update? The Rivemon government just released its new city development plan. They intend to construct a massive chemical industrial zone near Azure Mountain. which. if I recall correctly. is just a few miles from Azure

Pausing for effect, I continued, “If I’m not mistaken, BPL’s vision for Azure Bay was to develop a large residential community. Now, tell me, who would still want to buy homes in an area next to a chemical plant?”
Everett’s expression darkened instantly. “That’s impossible! You’re making this up! Why haven’t I heard anything about this?”
I casually waved my phone. “It’s already online. The city government just made the official announcement. Feel free to check.”
Hearing this, the crowd began pulling out their own phones and saw the newly published news.
“It’s true!”
“I never thought Rivemon would come up with a plan like this.”
“Doesn’t this mean BPL just spent a fortune on worthless land?”
“No wonder Mr. Holbrook remained so composed, this explains everything!”
Even Everett couldn’t resist pulling out his phone. The moment his eyes landed on the news, his expression darkened even further.

Everett’s brilliant expression made me instinctively lift the corner of my lips. “Mr. Llyod, there’s an old saying that fits you perfectly. Lifting a rock only to drop it on your own foot. It suits you perfectly.”
His jaw clenched, and his sharp gaze locked onto mine. “Ms. Sinclair, it’s far too soon to jump to conclusions. 300 million is nothing to me. This battle between us is far from over.”
“Is that so?” I responded with a faint smile. “In that case, Mr. Lloyd, let’s just wait and see.”
A crowd of reporters quickly surrounded Everett, bombarding him with questions. “Mr. Lloyd, what’s your take on the situation?” one asked.
Another reporter spoke up bluntly, “On paper, BPL may have secured the Azure Bay project, but everyone knows Eclipse Group is the true winner here.”
Everett’s face darkened.
Without answering, he let out a cold snort and turned to leave.
Once the press conference concluded, I returned to my seat and got to work.
I meticulously outlined the strategies for the “Ice and Fire” jewelry collection.
Since Everett had publicly drawn a battle line with Eclipse Group, there was no reason for me to remain passive.
By the time I wrapped up, the workday had already ended.
-My colleagues had trickled out in small groups, leaving the spacious office eerily quiet.
After gathering my things, I prepared to head to the CEO’s office to present my proposal to Caden.
Just as I stood up, a shadow loomed over me.
Surprised, I looked up to see a tall, striking figure standing before me. It’s Caden himself.
“What are you doing here? I was just about to find you,” I said, blinking in surprise.
Caden’s lips curved slightly. “What do you need me for?”
Without hesitation, I opened the project proposal and pointed at the computer screen. My tone was cool and professional. “It’s about the ‘Ice and Fire‘ collection–a strategy for Heartstone Jewels.”
His expression shifted subtly. “So, you came to me just for business?” There was a trace of disappointment in his voice.
I arched a brow. “What else would it be?” Without waiting for a response, I began detailing the proposal.
“I intend to launch several exclusive pieces under the ‘Ice and Fire‘ series, each featuring a distinct emblem as a signature touch. Quietly, I’ll secure patents for these designs.”
I paused for a beat before continuing, “Heartstone Jewels will inevitably attempt to replicate our work, down to those symbols. The moment they do, we’ll have legal grounds to retaliate. In short, it’s a carefully laid trap. They’ll walk into it willingly, and we’ll take them down in one move. What do you think?”

Caden’s eyes narrowed. His voice was cold and firm. “It works.”
“Good. I’ll have the team get started right away.” Satisfied, I shut down my computer.
Then, he suddenly asked, “For the Azure Bay project, did you already know the government’s plans for the chemical industrial zone? And that Heidi would leak confidential information to frame you?”
I met his gaze without hesitation. “Yes.”
A flicker of understanding passed through his eyes. “So, this was all part of your strategy.” His gaze on me deepened.
Caden’s POV:
I have to admit. Rosaline is extraordinary.
Sharp, decisive, and utterly ruthless, she sees through every situation and delivers a single, precise strike to achieve her goal.
Today, when dealing with Everett, everything unfolded just as she had planned.
Even when Heidi secretly passed the bid price to BPL and tried to set her up, she had already foreseen it. She effortlessly turned the situation in her favor, as if controlling a chessboard.
Despite being an Omega, she is truly exceptional.
I can’t help but admire her.
Rosaline noticed me watching her and quickly looked away.
“It’s getting late. I’m heading home.” She grabbed her bag from the table, preparing to leave.
As she moved toward the door, I stepped forward and pulled her into my embrace.
“What are you doing?” She frowned, her voice filled with confusion.
“Come with me to a place,” I said, my tone low and firm.
Before she could respond, I took her hand and led her outside, guiding her into my car without hesitation.
“Where exactly are we going?” she asked, staring at the passing scenery with a puzzled look.
I glanced at her, my voice calm yet deep. “You’ll know soon enough.”
A few days ago, I had carefully arranged a grand proposal, hoping to give her an unforgettable surprise.
But I never expected Rosaline to attend Jasper’s award ceremony, completely ignoring my plans and leaving me with no opportunity.
Tonight, I will propose to her, and no matter what, I won’t let it fail!

Thirty minutes later, Caden parked the car by the seaside.
“We’ve arrived.” He stepped out and courteously opened the door for me.
I got out of the car and scanned my surroundings.
Not far ahead, the endless sea stretched out.
A luxurious cruise ship rested on the calm sea surface.
I recognized it instantly. It belonged to Caden.
Last time, he proposed to me right on that cruise ship.
Now he has brought me back. What was his plan this time?
“Rosaline, come with me.” He took my hand and led me aboard.

Two werewolf bodyguards stood at the entrance. When they spotted him, they greeted him respectfully, “Mr. Holbrook, everything is prepared.”
He gave a small nod.
I narrowed my eyes. “Caden, what are you planning?”
He flashed a knowing grin. “You’ll see soon enough.”
He guided me to the dining area, seating us at the very table where his proposal had happened before.
The moment I sat down, all the lights in the cruise ship restaurant went out.
“Ah!” Darkness swallowed everything, and a startled scream escaped my lips.
I hated the dark. It terrified me.
“Rosaline, don’t worry.” His deep, reassuring voice whispered near my ear.
His fingers wrapped around mine. “Close your eyes.”
For some reason, his voice held an irresistible charm, and before I knew it, I obeyed.
I felt the gentle heat of Caden’s large hand against mine, and a quiet sense of calm washed over me.
After a few moments, he leaned in and murmured, “You can open your eyes now.”
Slowly, I lifted my gaze. Around us, candlelight flickered softly, casting a warm and romantic glow.

So, it was a candlelight dinner.
I met his eyes across the table and asked, “Did you bring me here just for a meal?”
“Not exactly.” His brow arched slightly as he locked eyes with me, his voice carrying a serious edge.
I frowned slightly, confused. “Then what is it?”
If this wasn’t just a romantic dinner, then what was his real purpose?
Could it be that he was going to…
A thought crossed my mind, a vague suspicion, but I hadn’t quite pieced it together yet.
“Rosaline, have a taste. You love this,” he said, his deep voice pulling me back to the moment.
“Thanks,” I said, watching as Caden carefully placed a peeled shrimp onto my plate.
I picked up my fork and took a bite.
The flavors were rich and savory, absolutely delightful.

Noticing my enjoyment, he peeled another shrimp and gently set it on my plate. “Have some more,” he said softly.
“I can do it myself,” I murmured, pressing my lips together.
Caden’s bright eyes stayed on me, his voice steady and sincere. “I enjoy peeling shrimp for you. If you’ll let me, I’d like to do it for a lifetime.”
I halted, my fork hovering midair.
That line sounded oddly familiar.
He had said something like this before.
Now that he brought it up again, I couldn’t shake the feeling that tonight, Caden was dangerously charming.
Trying to ignore him, I focused on my food, acting as if I hadn’t heard a thing.
But his unwavering gaze never left me. It was deep, intense, and unrelenting.
After what felt like forever, I finally put down my utensils and stood up. “I’m done eating. Can we leave now?”
Caden stepped forward, his tall frame blocking my way. His voice was calm yet firm. “No hurry.”
I raised an eyebrow. “I have work to do when I get back.”
Everett had suffered a loss today, and he would definitely retaliate against Eclipse Group soon.
I needed to finalize the design for “Ice and Fire” as soon as possible and get it on the market before he made
his next move.
My plan was clear. Head back tonight and focus on finishing the product.

Without warning, Caden took my hand and led me off the cruise ship, his grip firm and steady. “Rosaline, come with me.”
“Caden, what are you doing?” I asked, exasperated.
This man was always so unpredictable. And once again, he wasn’t telling me a thing.
Caden curved his lips into a sly smile. “Come with me, and you’ll find out soon enough.”
I shot him an annoyed look. “Can’t you just tell me? I hate guessing games…
Before I could finish, my words caught in my throat.
Because right in front of me, numerous helicopters of various sizes were parked, their imposing presence utterly breathtaking.
Just moments ago, when we arrived, none of these helicopters were there.
As soon as Caden approached, the werewolf pilots straightened and saluted him in unison. “Mr. Holbrook!”
He gave a small nod. “Is everything set?”
“All ready, Mr. Holbrook!” they responded without hesitation.
I frowned, confusion deepening. “What’s going on?”
Without answering, he took my hand and led me toward the largest helicopter. He helped me into the seat by the window before settling in beside me.
The rotors began to spin, and the helicopter slowly lifted off the ground.
“Hey! What are you doing?” Panic surged through me as I instinctively shut my eyes. “I … I’m afraid of heights…”
Is he outof his mind? He knows I’m terrified of heights, yet here we are, soaring through the night in a helicopter.
A quiet chuckle escaped his lips as he reached out, his well–defined fingers gently pulling me into his arms.
“Rosaline, as long as I’m here, you have nothing to be afraid of,” he murmured against my ear, his warm breath sending a shiver down my spine.
His warm breath brushed against my ear, sending a tingling sensation down my spine.
Nestled in his strong embrace, I felt a familiar aura of dominance that left me momentarily dazed.
Honestly, I quite liked this feeling.
But still, what exactly was he up to?

“Rosaline, open your eyes.” Caden’s voice broke the silence as he gently tousled my hair.
I followed his words and slowly lifted my eyelids.
Leaning against his shoulder, the overwhelming fear of heights gradually faded away.
But why had he brought me so high in the middle of the night?
Sensing the doubt in my gaze, Caden’s deep, husky voice resonated in the night air. “Rosaline, I’m taking you to see your parents. There’s something important I need to tell them.”
“See my parents?” I froze in shock.
What was he talking about?
told
Grandpa had always told me they had passed away in an accident long ago.
“That’s right,” he affirmed, his tone calm and unwavering.
Frustration bubbled within me. “Stop being so mysterious. What’s with all of this tonight?” My brows knitted together as I shot him a sharp look.
Instead of answering directly, Caden leaned in, lifting his hand to point toward the vast sky sprinkled with stars. His voice carried a solemn weight. “Rosaline, do you remember that night at Fostrau amusement park? When we were on the ferris wheel, I told you something important; your parents never truly left. They’ve only journeyed to heaven, staying by the Moon Goddess‘ side, watching over you from above.”
A strange warmth spread through my chest.
Of course, I remembered.
That night, Caden had bared his heart to me. He had kissed me under the moonlit sky, whispering that the peak of the ferris wheel was the closest place to happiness.
That if two lovers shared a kiss there, they would never be apart.
Memories rushed back in vivid fragments.
Before I could respond, his voice rang out again, this time with firm resolve. He gestured toward the two brightest stars in the sky, his words carrying a quiet plea. “Mr. Sinclair, Mrs. Sinclair, I want Rosaline to be my Luna, to protect and cherish her for a lifetime. If you approve, stay where you are. If not, hide behind the clouds.”
The night remained still, the stars twinkling like tiny lanterns in the darkness, casting their glow upon the earth and the hovering helicopter.
Caden’s intense gaze lingered on my face, his voice smooth and rich, like the deep notes of a cello. “Rosaline Sinclair, your parents have given their blessing. You won’t turn me down, will you?”
So, this was his plan all along.
His words, laced with undeniable charm, sent my heart into a frantic rhythm.

How could this even count as their approval?
And yet… something within me wavered.

Caden watched my hesitation. Then, in one smooth motion, he dropped to one knee. With a flick of his hand, as if conjuring magic, a ring appeared between his fingers. His voice was steady, filled with conviction. “Rosaline Sinclair, as the heir of the Eclipse Pack, I call upon the Moon Goddess to witness this moment. Will you marry me? Will you become my Luna and rule by my side?”
My breath hitched. My eyes fell on the ring, my thoughts spinning into chaos.
I had already returned this ring to him when I called off our engagement.
And now, out of nowhere, Caden was proposing to me again.
MoonGoddess, isthissomekindoftest?
Yesterday, it was Jasper at the awards ceremony. Today, it’s Caden.
Two days in a row, the heirs of two powerful packs have proposed to me.
I don’t even know what to say anymore.
But unlike yesterday, when I felt nothing but frustration, this time, a faint warmth stirs in my heart.
Because no matter how much I try to deny it, a part of me still loves Caden.
Staring at the earnest man before me, I find myself momentarily stunned.
I can’t be sure how sincere Caden’s emotions toward me truly are.
I’ve seen firsthand how his attitude toward Heidi has shifted over time.
Yet, he once mentioned that Heidi helped him in the past, and he won’t simply turn his back on her.
Even during today’s press conference, he took her reputation into account and chose not to reveal that she was responsible for leaking Eclipse Group’s bid price.
It’s clear that Heidi holds a unique place in his heart.
I am almost certain that she isn’t the real Tessa. Once I gather solid proof, Caden will undoubtedly make her face the consequences.
But if the real Tessa were to return one day…
My heart is in turmoil.
After what hannened last time when Caden walked away on the very day of our engagement. I never

Soft petals drifted down, one after another, painting the air with delicate beauty.

Caden had already put the ring on me, his thin lips curling into a relaxed smile. “It’s already there. Whether you agree or not, you have no choice now.”
I shot him a sharp look. This man was truly shameless.
“If it’s on, it can come off.” My voice was cold as I made a show of removing the ring.
“Don’t take it off.” His grip tightened around my wrist, trapping me.
I lifted my head, meeting his deep, unfathomable gaze. I opened my mouth to argue, but before a single word could leave my lips, he suddenly leaned in and kissed me.
“Mmm…” My words vanished, swallowed by the heat of his lips.
I gasped for breath, pushing against his chest, but he refused to move.
His kiss was fierce and overbearing, making my heart pound wildly.
His passionate kiss descended like a raging storm, fiercely claiming every inch of my lips with relentless intensity, leaving me no room to breathe.
Heat crept up my cheeks, spreading like wildfire.
Inside the helicopter, the air turned thick with tension.
Outside the window, dozens of helicopters shifted into dazzling formations, painting the sky with a breathtaking and romantic pattern.
Their dazzling lights reflected off our faces as Caden and I shared a deep passionate kiss.
I had no idea how much time had passed before Caden finally pulled away, ending the lingering kiss.
“Say yes, Rosaline,” he murmured against my ear, his deep, magnetic voice carrying a hint of seduction.
I pressed my palms to my flushed cheeks, took a steady breath, and stayed silent.
Noticing my lack of response, a flicker of disappointment crossed his intense gaze.
“What will it take for you to say yes?” He grasped my shoulders firmly, his voice low and insistent.
I hesitated for a moment, then pressed my lips together before speaking. “The three month agreement isn’t up yet. I’ll give you my answer when the time comes. Until then, it’s up to you to prove yourself.”

At Caden’s signal, the helicopter slowly descended, touching down smoothly.
I finally let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. Being back on solid ground felt reassuring.
“I’ll drive you home,” Caden said, gripping my hand as he led me toward his car.
Out of nowhere, a brief flash flickered behind me, like the snap of a camera.

If Caden hadn’t cleared the area in advance, we’d probably be surrounded by now.
After all, with the extravagant display he just put on, plenty of people must have noticed.
I wonder if tomorrow’s headlines will be all about Caden’s rejected proposal.

Rosaline’s POV:
Back at home, exhaustion crept over me. I had planned to refine the design for “Ice and Fire“, but I decided to leave it for another time.
Sprawled lazily on the bed, my mind kept drifting back to Caden’s heartfelt proposal tonight. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t push the memory away.
Sleep refused to come. I had no idea how long I lay there before finally dozing off.
And in my dreams, I actually saw Caden.
Worse yet, it was the kind of dream that wasn’t suitable for innocent minds.
He kissed me with overwhelming intensity, and instead of pushing him away, I welcomed it. We tangled together on a vast bed, our lips locked in a deep embrace. Then, he left a possessive mark on my neck.
I jolted awake, switched on the light, and scanned the room, only to realize that it was nothing but a dream.
Dmnit!
Why would I even dream about something like that?
It’s all because of Caden. That man is simply too tempting.

Michael gazed down at me and sighed. “Wendy, there are countless young heirs from many packs across the Werewolf Continent. Why are you so set on Caden?”
“I don’t care. I just like him!” I pouted, my expression unwavering,
He let out a half–hearted sigh. “Fine, I’ll see what I can do”

She hesitated before saying, “Wendy, I don’t know if I should tell you this…”
Noticing Lilian’s hesitation, I grew impatient. “Just say it already”
She quickly blurted out, “Tonight, my cousin and her kid went to the beach and saw Caden with Rosaline.

“Wendy, I get it.” Lilian nodded, then added with admiration, “Kill two birds with one stone! You’re brilliant.”
Rosaline’s POV:
The next morning, the sky was clear, and the sun shone brightly. It’s a perfect day.
Just as I stepped out, ready to head to work, a sleek black Rolls–Royce rolled to a stop right in front of me.
I recognized it instantly. Caden’s car.
“Rosaline, get in.” Caden pushed the door open, his lips curving into a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes.
I slid into the passenger seat, confused, and asked, “How did you end up here?”
Caden’s lips tilted slightly, his deep gaze carrying an unusual softness. “Picking up my Luna for work, it’s only natural.”
Your Luna?!
Since when? The ever–dignified, distant, and untouchable heir of the Eclipse Pack was suddenly this shameless in front of me?
“Who said I’m your Luna?” I shot him a look of pure disdain.

“Your skin is ridiculously thick,” I smirked, turning my head, only to find his handsome face inches from mine.
His cold, striking features, sharp jawline, deep–set eyes, high nose bridge, and lips pressed into a firm line, were so dangerously handsome, they left me breathless.
“What are you doing?” I leaned back carefully, unsure of his next move.
Caden moved in closer, his striking features just inches from my forehead. His lips parted slightly, his low pitched captivating voice murmured near my ear, “Let me help you buckle up.”
The sudden proximity, the warmth of his breath brushing against my skin. My heart skipped a beat.
A faint heat spread across my face.
Out of nowhere, the dream I had last night resurfaced in my mind.
Flustered, my face burned, and my breath hitched.
I quickly shoved Caden away. “I can do it myself.”
He gave a slight nod, his intense gaze fixed on me, a playful tone lacing his words. “Why are you blushing?”
Oh my goodness, can he stop pointing that out?
Taking a steady breath, I replied with forced seriousness, “It’s just too hot in here.”
“Is that so?” His smirk deepened, clear amusement flickering in his eyes.
I straightened up, shooting him a sharp look. “Can you just drive already?”
At Eclipse Group, I buried myself in work, trying to shake off the moment.
By noon, my phone buzzed with a call from Anthony.
“Wilda, I’ve uncovered some new details about Heidi’s past,” Anthony’s voice came clearly through the phone.
Stepping into the hallway, I checked my surroundings to make sure no one was nearby before asking, “What did you find?”
“Her adoptive father in Aurion was a university professor. He passed away a year ago,” Anthony reported, his tone serious.
“A professor? Is there any link to Everett?” I echoed, narrowing my eyes.
Anthony sighed. “So far, I haven’t found any connection. But something doesn’t add up.”
“What do you mean?” I pressed.
“There are no medical records of Heidi in Aurion. Considering how badly she was injured back then, she would’ve needed ongoing treatment. Even if she lived there, there should be some hospital visits on record. But there’s nothing,” he explained, his voice laced with doubt.

If Heidi wasn’t actually Tessa, then she never fell from that cliff. That meant she wouldn’t have suffered those serious wounds at all.
“That’s a possibility,” Anthony murmured.
After a moment of thought, I said firmly, “I need a full report on her adoptive parents.”
“Understood, Wilda. I’ll get it to you as soon as I can,” Anthony assured me.
After ending the call, I pressed my lips together, deep in thought.
That day, when Heidi tried to pin the blame on me for exposing the bid price, she made sure to reveal her scars; her voice trembling as she tearfully recalled the injuries she supposedly suffered while saving Caden. It was a calculated move to gain his sympathy.
But I remembered clearly. The scars on her body didn’t seem right. They didn’t look like wounds from falling off a cliff eight years ago.
I need to make time to meet this influential Beta in person.

Stepping inside, I placed the coffee in front of him and said flatly, “Here’s your coffee.”
He was busy typing away but lifted his gaze. A faint unreadable smile playing on his lips. “Feed me,” he said.
I rolled my eyes and set the coffee down in front of him. “Drink it if you want.”
Out of nowhere, Caden stood up, took my hand, and asked, “Are you upset?”
I shot him a look of pure disdain.
“Let’s have dinner together tonight. I’ll cook for you. You can try my food,” he murmured near my ear.
I shook
my head. “Did you forget? I already made plans with Jasper tonight.”
His face darkened instantly.
“You’re not going,” he declared, his voice firm and possessive.
I scoffed, locking my eyes with his frosty gaze. “And what if I do?”
The moment I finished speaking, he suddenly leaned in. His sharp, handsome face closed the distance …
Wait, what?!
Without a word, he kissed me!
Caden’s POV:
Rosaline kept going against my words, completely ignoring my frustration and insisting on meeting Jasper.
An unexplainable fury rose within me.
Does Jasper really hold such an important place in her heart?

Overcome with jealousy, I lowered my head and pressed my lips against hers without a second thought. Her lips were unbelievably soft, melting against mine.
Her sweet, alluring taste,

held onto her, refusing to let go.
That familiar, gentle scent clung to her, bringing a deep warmth to my heart.
It was exactly like before.
In a trance, I found myself transported back to eight years ago, trapped inside that dark, windowless room with Tessa.
Not far away, a big black bear stood, its neck wrapped in thick chains.
Back then, I had been terrified of bears.
But Tessa, slender yet fearless, had wrapped her arms around me without hesitation.
She wrapped her arms around me tightly, her clear, soothing voice echoing in my ears as she said with unwavering certainty, “Caden, don’t be scared. I’ll keep you safe!”
Held in her embrace, I caught a faint, sweet fragrance from her. It was soft and comforting, and for some reason, it made me feel completely at ease.
That warmth… it was exactly like this moment.
Why do I keep feeling that Rosaline is the same girl who once made my heart race and lingered in my mind eight years ago?
Overcome by an intense possessiveness, I deepened the kiss, my breath turning ragged. In her deep, obsidian eyes, a flickering heat ignited.
Rosaline’s POV:
The unexpected kiss left me momentarily frozen.
I wanted to push him away, but Caden firmly grasped my hands, refusing to let go.
This sensation… I couldn’t describe it.
Even Freya was affected, her presence within me letting out a soft, pleased hum.
The air in the CEO’s office grew hotter and heavier and kept rising …
Just as our heated kiss deepened, a sharp voice abruptly shattered the tension in the room.
“Rosaline, what do you think you’re doing?!”
Caden and I snapped our eyes open, reluctantly pulling apart. Standing at the doorway was Wendy, her expression dark with jealousy.

Caden released me, casually straightening his slightly rumpled shirt, his face calm and composed. He cast a fleeting glance at Wendy and asked, “Why are you here?”

His voice remained cold and uninterested. “Where is he?”
“Oh, he’s parking the car. He’ll be here any minute.” Wendy’s eyes lingered on Caden, filled with barely concealed admiration.
Outside the office, Michael, Alpha from the Wild Pack approached. “Wendy, why didn’t you wait for me?”
“Michael, you’re right on time.” Wendy seized Michael’s arm, her voice icy as she turned to me. “Rosaline, we’re here to discuss business with Caden. What exactly are you doing here?”
I met Wendy’s gaze with calm composure. “Ms. Crawford, I’m also in the middle of a business discussion with Caden. I assume you understand the significance of being the first to arrive?”
“Michael, escort your sister to the meeting room and wait there,” Caden said with a sly grin, addressing Michael with a cold tone.
“Alright, we’ll wait for you in the meeting room after you’re finished.” Michael nodded and guided Wendy out of the CEO’s office.
Wendy shot me an angry glare. “Michael, earlier Rosaline … ”
“That’s enough, Wendy. Since Caden has asked you to wait, just do as he says,” Michael replied without hesitation, pulling her away.
Wendy shot one last furious look at me.
I responded by making a face at her.

As I stood to leave, my phone rang.
Jasper, what’s up?” I answered.
His clear voice responded immediately. “Rosaline, are you done for the day?”
“Just finished,” I said.
I’m waiting outside Eclipse Group, he replied with a calm tone before hanging up.
I made my way downstairs and out the door, spotting Jasper’s car.
He got out and approached me. His gaze softened as he spoke, “Rosaline, get in the car.”
“Alright,” I answered quietly and slid into the passenger seat.
I glanced at him and said, “I was planning to come see you after dinner.”
Jasper grinned and said, “I’ll treat you. Let’s go together.”
I nodded. “Sure”
His smile deepened at my response, the corners of his lips curving in a soft, warm expression.
He started the engine and drove toward the villa on the outskirts, the moonlight casting a quiet glow over the road.

I’m not really fond of acting.

found myself surrounded by reporters, my face frowned as I asked, “What’s going on here?”
One reporter spoke up. “Ms. Rosaline, may I ask, staying so late at night in Jasper’s villa, is there something unusual between the two of you?”
I responded coldly, “Absolutely not. We were just talking about work.”
A wave of surprise hit me. Howdid they know Jasperand I were here?

Rubbing my forehead, I was about to respond when a cold, commanding voice interrupted me. “Which media are you from?”
The voice it was so familiar.
I turned toward the sound, and there he was–Caden, tall and striking, standing with an air of authority. He was dressed in a custom made black suit, tailored to perfection, showcasing his impeccable physique to its fullest.
An aura of coldness surrounded him, almost blending seamlessly with the night itself.
“Mr. Holbrook!” The reporters exchanged glances before rushing toward him.
“Get out of here, all of you!” Caden’s icy gaze swept over the crowd, his voice low and unyielding.
The air around him was so intense, it felt like it could crush you. “If any of you dare to write lies again, don’t ever show your faces in Rivemon.”
The reporters immediately fell silent, too scared to make a sound.
“Aren’t you leaving yet?” Caden’s eyes were sharp, and his lips curled ever so slightly in a cold smile.
Under the weight of his commanding presence, the reporters hurriedly scattered.
I turned to face Caden, my voice carrying a hint of surprise. “Caden, what are you doing here?”
His gaze hardened, narrowing slightly as he took in my expression. In a low firm voice, he commanded, “Come with me.”
Jasper Sullivan stepped forward, his tone resolute. “I’ll be taking Rosaline home.”

“What?” I was stunned into silence. “How can you move my things without asking me first?”

Candice grabbed the phone.
In every photo, Jasper and Rosaline were the focus.
Candice’s face darkened instantly,
“Ms. Reese, these images were sent by a reporter friend of mine, Lilian said, clearing her throat and adding a dramatic flair, “Last night, Rosaline stayed at Jasper’s villa, just the two of them. What could they have been up to?”
Candice handed the phone back to Lilian, her smile returning as she turned to me. “Ms. Crawford, I assume you didn’t bring me here just to show me these photos? If you have something to say, I’m listening.”
“Ms. Reese, I invited you today for one reason only, to support you,” I said, taking a sip of my coffee before glancing at Candice.
Noticing the slight shift in her gaze, I quickly gestured to Lilian.
Lilian immediately spoke up, her voice filled with sympathy. “Ms. Reese, we truly feel for you. We all know this was a scheme by Rosaline. She purposely leaked these photos to ruin your reputation, destroy your engagement with Jasper, and pave the way for her to pursue him openly.
“Rosaline has a history of this kind of behavior. She once had a tangled relationship with Caden, publicly called off their engagement, yet secretly tried to keep him hooked.
“Just look at Jasper. He’s clearly flustered around Rosaline. Anyone who’s paying attention can see that he’s attracted to her. This shameless Omega is manipulating multiple men, making them all fall under her spell. It’s truly vile!”
With every word Lilian spoke, Candice’s expression grew more icy.
Rosaline had intentionally leaked her scandalous photos during the live streaming global award ceremony, publicly humiliating herself.
This not only ruined the reputation she had carefully built but also turned her into a laughingstock. Even the companies that had contracts with her were rushing to sever ties.

When I thought of Caden’s ice cold face after I mentioned that I would like to take the afternoon off for the ceremony. I couldn’t help but feel a throb in my head.
After taking a deep breath, I reached out and knocked on the door of the CEO’s office.
“Come in,” Caden’s disappasionate voice called out.
I opened the door, and there sat Caden at his desk working on his task, hands busy typing away on the keyboard, and eyes focused on the screen of his laptop.
They all say that a man who works diligently is the most attractive, and that couldn’t be more true.
His suit jacket was hanged on a coat rack, so he was only dressed in a crisp white shirt, with the top two buttons undone, revealing a strong chest.

The sudden proximity between us made me flush, so I quickly pushed him away and cleared my throat, “I’m here to request for a leave.”

Caden’s POV:
I watched as Rosaline’s eyes darted around and her cheeks slowly turned pink in embarassment. All of her reactions were so incredibly adorable and enticing to me.
I couldn’t hold myself back any longer, leaning down and pulling her into a searing kiss.
My bold and sudden advances made her froze in shock, giving me the opportunity to deepen the kiss, greedily savouring the sweetness in her mouth.
She began gasping for air, hands raised to the front of my chest in an attempt to push me away, but her resistance only stroke the flames of my desire further. I nibbled on her lips as I slid my slender fingers into her blouse.
I placed my hand on one of the soft mounds, wanting to tease the rosy nipple, when I felt a hitch in Rosaline’s breath. She grabbed a hold of my hand and pushed me away forcefully. “Stop it!”
“Rosaline, what do I have to do for you to come back to my side?” I asked her, staring fervently at the woman in front of me, almost desperate.
My patience was thinning, and I can’t wait any longer for her to come back to me.
I had never felt this way before.
Throughout my life, I have always gotten what I wanted.
When it came to women, there were plenty of them who wanted to climb into my bed, but I never spared them a glance.
Back then, my heart was set on Tessa; there was no one else but her for me.
But ever since Rosaline came into the picture, I only have eyes for her. She took up that empty space in my heart, leaving no room for other people, including Tessa.

I didn’t have an answer for a while.
“Freya, what should I do?”
“Alpha, I think you should consult the Moon Goddess on this. Your destined mate will appear sooner or later, Freya replied calmly.
Sigh.
I sighed heavily in my heart.
I rubbed my forehead, feeling a little weary, and suddenly I heard Caden’s voice, “We’re here.”
Just as I was about to get out of the car, Caden grabbed my arm.
“What’s wrong?” I turned around and looked at Caden in surprise.
Caden’s face darkened, and there was a hint of grievance on his face. He said, “Rosaline, do you not want to return to my side?”
My heart skipped a beat the moment I heard Caden bringing up this matter again.
I thought for a while and finally replied to him, “Let’s wait until the Alpha of the Eclipse Pack makes a full recovery before we talk about this again, shall we?”

“Don’t worry, he will be fine.” I knew how worried Caden was about his grandfather, so I tried to lighten up his mood. “I am always in touch with Dr. Williamson every day, and according to him, Grandpa’s condition is stable. Hughie said that in a few days, Grandpa can receive treatment. He will wake up then!”
“You’re right,” Caden’s tensed expression finally loosened up.
*T’ll go
in now,” I said and returned a smile at him.
Tll come with you, Caden stepped out in a long stride and followed me.
I was speechless.
When did the busy Mr. Holbrook become so leisurely?
Why did he come to attend the launching ceremony that had nothing to do with him?
Oh well, I should let him be.
After the awards ceremony that night, everyone in Starplay Entertainment knew that I was the owner of the
company.
Seeing that Caden and I made an appearance together, the werewolf employees of Starplay Entertainment hastily greeted us, “Ms. Sinclair, Mr. Holbrook, good evening.”
I nodded with an amicable smile before I headed to the elevator.
Naturally, the werewolf employees began to discuss amongst themselves.
“I wonder what’s the relationship between our boss and Mr. Holbrook?”
“I heard that Mr. Holbrook is pursuing Ms. Sinclair.”
“Rumor says that Jasper is after her as well! In my opinion, Jasper is more compatible with Ms. Sinclair. Not only is he handsome and rich, he is gentle and considerate to Ms. Sinclair.”
Those guys loved to gossip.
I did not care about gossip, but the same could not be said about Caden who had overheard them. His face turned cold.
“The elevator is here,” I could feel Caden’s displeasure as I pursed my lips.
We took the elevator to the top floor.
“Rosaline, you’re here,” When Jasper saw me, his face beamed with a smile as warm as spring.
However, he froze the moment he saw Caden behind me.
“Caden, you should go back first. I need to do my styling,” I said to Caden before I headed to the dressing
room.
By the time I emerged from the dressing room, I saw Caden’s towering figure leaning against the door.
I furrowed my brows and asked him. “Why haven’t you left ver?”

My shoulder–length hair was pulled up high and tied into a bun, revealing my sexy collarbone. The fishtail design of the gown brought out my curves to the fullest extent. There was a touch of blush on my cheeks, which gave me an elegant and innocent look.
So, I could understand how awestruck Caden was.
At the same time, Jasper came out from another dressing room.
I smiled at him. “Jasper, it’s almost time. Let’s go.”
Jasper could not remove his gaze when he saw my outfit too.
He looked at me, pleasantly surprised, and said, “Let’s go.”
Caden grunted and started following us.
Oh, thesetwomen.

The launching ceremony was held in the grand hall of Starplay Entertainment.
It was my first time attending a launching ceremony.
In the past, when a new film was released, Jasper had handled all of the intricacies.
As for me, I just wanted to be a figurehead; a boss who controlled the company from the shadows.
However, things were different this time.
After all, my disguise as the boss of Starplay Entertainment was common knowledge now.
Furthermore, my appearance was also the biggest gimmick for the promotion of the film “The Call of the Wolf
The launching ceremony today was particularly lively.
Not only the main actors and actresses were present, the director, producer, and all the business moguls from the Werewolf Continent were there as well. There were a lot of high–ranking betas too.
The reporters arrived early, each one eager and excited as they held their cameras and microphones, afraid of missing out on any exciting news.
The moment Jasper and I appeared, the atmosphere reached a new climax.
“It’s Jasper and Ms. Sinclair!” Someone shouted.
Everyone’s attention immediately focused on us.
At the same time someone shouted “It’s Mr. Holbrook! He’s here too!”

The werewolves turned their gaze toward the entrance of the grand hall.
They saw Caden’s tall and elegant figure marching into the hall.
He immediately captured everyone’s attention.
Jasper was charismatic and handsome, a popular werewolf movie star. On the other hand, I was the stunningly beautiful boss of the company.

And then there’s the high and mighty CEO of the Eclipse Pack, Caden, who loomed over everyone like an

The reporters huddled around Caden and began to bombard him with questions.
“Mr. Holbrook, does your participation in the opening ceremony of Starplay Entertainment mean that the Eclipse Pack would enter the entertainment industry?”
“Mr. Holbrook, there are rumors that you are pursuing Ms. Sinclair again, is that true?”
“Mr. Holbrook, there were rumors before that you and Ms. Sinclair called off the engagement because she was an Omega from the countryside whose status is not a match for the heir of the Eclipse Pack. Now that it turns out that Ms. Sinclair is from a wealthy family and the real boss of Starplay Entertainment, are you pursuing her again because of this?”
Caden furrowed his brows and said coldly, “Step aside. I don’t do interviews today.”
His powerful and icy aura made the reporters tremble as they automatically made way for him to pass by. They stopped asking questions also.
Caden walked toward a corner and took a seat there.
When it was two o’clock, the launching ceremony began.
The host’s animated voice rang out, “Hello, everyone. Let the launching ceremony for “The Call of the Wolf” begins! Let us welcome Jasper and Ms. Sinclair with a round of applause to the stage for a speech.”
Amidst thunderous applause, Jasper held my hand and led me on stage.
Jasper cleared his throat and began, “I welcome all of you to join the launching ceremony of “The Call of the Wolf“. This large–scale modern drama about a domineering CEO is a new film invested by Starplay Entertainment with a budget of almost 300 million dollars. It’s set to be released as the main show in the second half of the year.”
He glanced at me and continued, “The lineup is a strong one as well with the lead roles played by the top stars in the entertainment industry. We also have Rosaline, the CEO of Starplay Entertainment, making a guest appearance in the film. I’m sure you will be impressed by her acting. This film will be a unique visual feast.”
“Please show your support. I had a polite smile on my face as I spoke.
Applause erupted once again, echoing in the grand hall for a long time. It was an unprecedented warm atmosphere.
At that moment, two young werewolves suddenly rushed to the front of the stage, holding flowers in their hands. They began walking up the staircase.
A werewolf security guard quickly stepped forward and stood in their way. He said, “I’m sorry, missus. please sit back down.”
Jasper, we are your die hard fans. We just want to give you some flowers,” The two female werewolves shouted arjasper.
It was common for enthusiastic fans to come on stage to present flowers, so Jasper and I didn’t find it weird.

The two female werewolves each held a bouquet in their hands. They walked toward Jasper on the stage.
“Jasper, I’m your fan. I’ve watched all the movies you starred in many times. I love you! One of them said excitedly as she handed the bouquet of flowers to Jasper.
Jasper accepted the flowers and thanked her politely, “Thank you.”
“Ms. Sinclair, you’re even more beautiful in person,” The other female werewolf walked up to me, her eyes filled with admiration.
As she spoke, she handed her flowers to me. She said, “Ms. Sinclair, this is for you.”
“Thank you.”
I was about to receive the bouquet when she suddenly tripped for some reason. She came crashing down on
- me.
The flowers hit my face, shoulders, and chest with force… and then they scattered all over the floor.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Sinclair, I tripped accidentally,” The female werewolf apologized profusely with an awkward look on her face.
1 smiled at her and dismissed her apology, “It’s okay.”
With the little incident of the two female werewolves presenting flowers over, it was time for the reporters to ask questions.
The reporters were eager and started asking questions one after another.
“Ms. Sinclair, it’s the first time you have appeared as the CEO of Starplay Entertainment for a launching ceremony. How do you feel?” An entertainment reporter asked eagerly.
I smiled and replied, “I am very happy at this moment. We have always strived to produce the best works to give back to the audience. I hope that everyone will support us.”
“Ms. Sinclair, I heard that it’s your first time acting. Do you find it challenging to play a guest role?” Another reporter asked.
“I don’t find it that hard. I did my best,” I replied.
“I heard that Ms. Sinclair and Jasper will play the roles of a couple in the film. Will the two of you develop real feelings for each other?” Another reporter asked.
“Of course…”
Before I could finish my sentence, Jasper interrupted me and said, “Of course, we cannot rule out that possibility.”

It was as if a thousand tiny ants were biting me all over, causing a very uncomfortable itchiness.
This sensation… it felt like an allergic reaction.

Chapter 287 Unexpected Incident at the Launching Ceremony (Part Three)
I couldn’t help but furrow my brows slightly.
I was allergic to platinum, and even with the body constitution of an Alpha, I couldn’t stand the allergy.
That was why I was always careful to avoid getting in contact with such things.
Apart from platinum. I was not affected by any other allergens.
I was very sure of my judgment. This unbearable itchiness, there was nothing else that could cause this other than platinum.
It’sstrange. I hadn’tcomeintocontactwithanythingmade of platinum today. Whywas I suddenlyallergic?
To make things worse, why did it happen at such a crucial moment?
Whenever my skin came into contact with platinum, it only needed a few minutes for my skin to have red rashes. That meant that I had come into contact with platinum in the last ten minutes.
However, I had been on stage for at least half an hour now. How could I come into contact with anything made of platinum?
I could not figure out what was going on. As I lowered my head, I caught sight of the scattered flowers on
the floor.
Suddenly, a light build went off in my mind.
When that female werewolf accidentally tripped herself earlier, my cheeks, shoulders, and chest came into contact with those flowers.
It was precisely those areas that were allergic.
Could it be because of the flowers?
“Ms. Sinclair…“When the reporter wanted to bombard me with more questions, he noticed that I had gone. silent and something was off with my face.
My face and part of my upper body had become red and swollen. There were many small rashes.
“Ms. Sinclair, what’s wrong with your face?” The reporter stared at my face excitedly as if discovering something new. He couldn’t contain his curiosity.
Artists in the entertainment industry paid the most attention to their image. As the CEO of Starplay Entertainment, I suddenly looked like I had been disfigured in such a high–profile launching ceremony. This was big news.
Almost instantly, all eyes were on me.
My face and exposed parts of my body were visibly swollen and covered in rashes. It was a shocking sight, to say the least.
Everyone was surprised and they engaged in discussion.

Jasper noticed that something was wrong with me too and worriedly asked, “Rosaline, what’s the matter?”

Jasper looked extremely worried as he helped me walk off the stage. He asked with concern. “What’s the matter? Let me take you to the hospital.
All the reporters rushed forward and began snapping away at me. They then began to bombard me with questions.
“Ms. Sinclair, why did your face suddenly become like that?”
“Ms. Sinclair, is that just a random outbreak? Or are you hiding something? Can you tell us?”
“Ms. Sinclair…. “When the reporter wanted to bombard me with more question, he noticed that I had gone silent and something was off with my face.
Candice’s POV:

Would Jasper still be in love with her with her looking like that?
I almost could not contain the sense of exhilaration of getting revenge.
I learned from Wendy that Rosaline was allergic to platinum.
1 even consulted a doctor who told me that if the allergic reaction was severe, it could be fatal.
So, I deliberately had someone add a lot of platinum powder to the flowers, disguised herself, and had her attend the launching ceremony of Starplay Entertainment.
Sure enough, the plan went unexpectedly smoothly, and Rosaline was now disfigured. Her ugly face would spread like wildfire all over the internet!
Even if this didn’t take her life, I would make sure she suffered.
This was just the beginning.
Rosaline had caused me to lose everything. If it’s just an allergy that let her embarrass herself in front of everyone, then this b*tch was getting off too easy!

The itchiness was overwhelming me. I needed to get back home and apply anti–allergy cream as soon as possible, but I was slowed down by reporters.
Just as I was about to plead for them to let me pass, a familiar yet cold voice rang out, “Get out of the way!” This voice… It was Caden!
I turned around and saw Caden’s towering figure appear in my line of sight.
He had a domineering and handsome face, and he was exuding a chilly aura. It was as if the grand hall was freezing up because of him.
He had an immense and suffocating werewolf aura. The people around him could not help but form two lines to give way to him.
He marched toward me with steady steps.
When he reached me, he swept me from the floor with everyone’s attention on me.
“Rosaline, how are you feeling? Are you alright?” Caden was holding me, and his voice was so gentle.
For some reason, I felt a sense of peace being in his embrace.
I pursed my lips and said, “I am having an allergic reaction.”
“I’ll take you to the hospital,” Caden held me tightly and carried me toward the entrance.
Suddenly, something occurred to me. I stole a glance at the stage and saw the flower petals on the stage.

He looked at the stage and immediately understood what I meant..
He held me tight and comforted me, “Don’t worry, I’ll have someone investigate what happened.”
“Thank you,” I said and nodded.
It was clear that this was an intentional incident.
At the banquet held by the Wild Pack, I had displayed to everyone that I was allergic to platinum.
As a result, there were quite a few people who knew about my allergy.
Who could it be?

At that moment. I was itching all over. I started to feel dizzy so I couldn’t figure out who was behind this.
The most important thing right now was to get back and have some rest.

Caden carried me into his car and gazed at me with affection in his eyes. He suggested, “Rosaline, hold on, I’ll take you to the hospital.
It’s okay, we don’t need to go to the hospital. I’ll be fine after getting some rest at home,” I rubbed my forehead to distract myself from the itchiness as I said.
I had no idea what was in the flowers. This time, it seemed like my allergic reaction was more profound.
Not only was I itching all over, but I also felt feverish as if I had a fever.
However, I was always a careful woman. Knowing my allergy to platinum, I always carried with me a homemade allergy ointment.
I kept those ointments in my suitcase.
So, I asked Caden to send me back to New Moon City.
He got my instruction and immediately gunned the car hard, anxious to bring me back to New Moon City.
We sped all the way, and we even ran over two red lights. Finally, we reached New Moon City.
Perhaps because of my allergy permeating my body, my consciousness was waning. I felt so hot.
Caden’s POV:
“Rosaline, we’re here,” I stopped the car and told her.
I looked at her but saw that she didn’t respond to me. She was slumped in her seat, and her face and body were reddish and swollen.

I was startled at what I saw. I touched her forehead and asked, “Rosaline, what’s wrong?

I furrowed my brows.

I could not help but feel anxious and heartbroken to see her like this. After thinking for a moment, I called the private doctor Derrick.

“Is someone sick? Is it serious? Can it wait? I am in the middle of a meeting, Derrick replied.

Rosaline leaned against my chest and I could feel the heat emanating from her body. She subconsciously rubbed against my chest as if trying to cool down by passing me her heat.

I quickly pressed Rosaline’s arm on the bed and said in a deep tone, “Stop scratching your face, it’ll leave scars later on.”
“It’s so itchy…” Rosaline pouted, looking pitiful.
I had never seen Rosaline looking so helpless. It was heartbreaking to see her in such discomfort.
I lightly rubbed her cheek and coaxed, “Just endure it a little longer, the doctor will be here very soon.”
“Mr. Holbrook, what’s the matter with Ms. Sinclair?” At that moment, Derrick barged into the room.
“Quickly check on her. She’s allergic,” I glanced up at him and urgently told him her situation.

“You

As he said that, he bent over and gave her the injection.
Rosaline furrowed her brows instinctively, wanting to pull her arm back.

“Caden, are you saying that you don’t trust me as a doctor? Derrick complained helplessly and shrugged.
“It’s not that I don’t trust you, but she’s still having a fever now,” I said worriedly.
“It’s caused by the allergies, Derrick chuckled and continued, “As long as the allergy is treated, her fever will be gone in no time.”
“Is that so?” I was a bit puzzled.
Derrick patted my shoulders and reassured me, “Don’t worry, she’ll be fine. It’s just allergy, she’ll be fine in a few days”
“Alright,” I nodded.
“If there’s nothing else. I need to go now. I need to go to another meeting. Derrick packed up his medical kit and checked his watch.
After he was gone, I looked at Rosaline.
Her face was getting redder, and her brows were furrowed. She would groan and moan from time to time. indicating her discomfort.
“Rosaline, how are you feeling now?” I held her hand and asked softly.
She was just given an injection not long ago, but why did she still look like she was in so much pain?
She was in a daze as she mumbled incoherently, “It’s so uncomfortable
So itchy.”
“I’ll feed you some medicine, okay? Once you take it, you will feel much better, I whispered to calm her down.
I sat beside the bed and propped her up. I made her head rest on my shoulder.
With one hand holding her, I took the medicine bottle and opened it. Then, I took out a white pill and carefully fed it to Rosaline.
“It’s so bitter…” Rosaline grimaced and turned her head to the side.
I had to hold her head in place to feed her a mouthful of water. I continued to coax her softly, “Good girl. drink this.”

I wanted to kiss her like this forever.
However, that was wishful thinking.
She was sick.
The most important thing was to make her eat the medicine successfully so that her allergy would subside. So that her fever would go down.
I suppressed the palpitations in my heart and took a deep breath. I pried open Rosaline’s mouth with my huge tongue and fed her all the medicine in my mouth. Then, I sealed her small mouth with my lips to prevent her from spitting out the medicine.
Rosaline wanted to revolt but she could not escape my grasp. She had no choice but to swallow the contents in her mouth.
Seeing that Rosaline finally swallowed, I felt relieved. This method worked.
I continued to feed her like this for a few more mouthfuls until the glass of water was finally empty.
“It’s so bitter…” Rosaline was finally done with her medicine, and she licked her lips instinctively.
It was a simple action, but it made my heart beat faster.
Her lips were so enticing. It was truly unforgettable.

Flashes of hazy, inappropriate images surfaced in my mind.
Last night. I vaguely remembered someone holding me, kissing me, making me couldn’t breathe properly.

“Got it,” he said, casting a gentle glance at me before heading over. “Stay put and rest”

Something about his care, made me felt warmth spreading through my heart.
It felt comforting, and special.
Caden found the ointment and turned back to confirm with me, “Is this it?”
“Yeah.” I nodded.
Caden sat back at the bedside.
“Give it to me.” I reached out to Caden, trying to get the ointment from him.
Instead of handing it to me, he simply looked at me and said, “I’ll do it.”
“Huh?” Before I could react, he had already opened the ointment.
His slender fingers scooped out a bit of the cool, white ointment and gently applied it to my skin.
The warmth of his fingertips mixed with the coolness of the ointment as he massaged it into my face.
It felt like soft feathers brushing against my skin–tingly and soothing.
My cheeks started heating up again.
And my heartbeat slightly accelerated.

His voice carried an almost hypnotic power, weaving its way into my mind. Without thinking. I obediently shut my eyes.
His long, deft fingers traced down my cheek, gliding past my neck and shoulders….
Lower
and lower… until they reached my chest.
A strange sensation shot through me, like an electric current surging through every cell in my body.
I quickly opened my eyes and grabbed his hand, stopping him from rubbing the ointment across my chest. “That’s enough.”
Caden arched a brow, his large hand teasingly pressing forward, though his face remained perfectly composed. “I haven’t applied it here yet.”
“It’s fine. There’s no allergic reaction there.” I instinctively shrank back, eager to change the subject. “By the way, Caden, did you have someone look into those flowers from yesterday?”
I was almost certain that bouquet had caused my allergic reaction.
I didn’t recognize the two girls who delivered it, which meant someone must have sent them on purpose.
Thinking about it now, several names flashed through my mind–Wendy, Lilian, Heidi, Candice, Annie…. Every single one seemed like a possible suspect.
Honestly. I had no idea why these female Beta werewolves were acting like lunatics, so hell–bent on targeting me.
I had no interest in playing their petty games.
Yet, they wouldn’t leave me alone.
It was beyond frustrating-
“I had my Beta look into it.” Caden set the ointment aside and sat beside me.
I nodded and pressed on. “Did he find anything?”
“Not yet, but he should have something soon,” Caden replied casually.
The moment he finished speaking, his phone
He picked it up, glanced at the screen, and answered. “Hey, Beta, any updates on what I asked you to investigate yesterday?”
He put the call on speaker so I could hear Yale’s voice clearly through the phone.
“Yes, Mr. Holbrook,” Yale reported. “I had the flowers sent for testing. The results just came in–the petals contained a significant amount of platinum powder.”
I had been right all along–those flowers were definitely the cause of my allergic reaction!

“Yes, they’re students from Rivemon University,” Yale replied. “But they insist they had nothing to do with it. No matter how we press them, they won’t crack”
“Oh?” Caden’s expression darkened further. “Keep investigating.”
“Yes, Mr. Holbrook!” Yale responded respectfully.
Once the call ended, Caden met my gaze. “Rosaline, what do you think?”
I pressed my lips together. “I don’t know those two students, so it’s possible someone put them up to it.”
1 paused briefly before adding, “But if that’s the case, it all seems a little too obvious,”
Caden nodded in agreement. “You’re right. There were too many people there, including the press. It wouldn’t take much effort to track down those two werewolf students. If this was planned, whoever’s behind. it would’ve known how easy they’d be to trace.”
I nodded as well, lost in thought.
Whoever was trying to set me up wouldn’t be foolish enough to send two werewolf students to deliver the flowers in broad daylight, ensuring I had an allergic reaction in front of everyone.
“Hmm.” I thought for a moment, then murmured, “It’s highly likely those students were just scapegoats. Someone must have tampered with their flowers behind the scenes, using them to target me. The real question is… who?”
“I don’t care who it is–I’ll make sure she pays!” Caden’s chiseled face was taut with tension, his dark eyes exuding icy hostility.
A faint smirk played on my lips. “She’s after me. I’ll handle her myself.”
Caden’s voice dropped to a low growl. “And what exactly do you plan to do?”
I chuckled. “Isn’t it obvious? I’ll find her–and then I’ll settle the score. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”
“How do you plan to do that?” He frowned.
I shrugged, my tone lighthearted. “Simple. I’ll wait for her to walk into my trap.”
Caden’s frown deepened. “What do you mean?”
Narrowing my eyes, I spoke with certainty. “She’s clearly determined to take me down. Since I’m still standing, she won’t give up easily. It won’t be long before she makes another move. All I have to do is wait and let her come to me.”
“No. That’s too dangerous.” Caden rejected the idea outright, his voice cool and commanding. “Until we uncover who’s behind this, you’re staying home. You’re not going anywhere.”
“That’s not an option.” I pressed my lips together. “Shooting for “The Call of the Wolf is about to begin. I can’t be the reason production gets delayed.”
I had a strong feeling that whoever was behind this would strike again soon–most likely on set.

Besides, even though my role in the project was just a supporting one, I still had several intimate scenes with Jasper.
“It’s getting late. You should head to work.” I stood up, urging him to leave.

“I’m fine now. The ointment helped a lot. I feigned irritation. “If you don’t leave soon, I’ll have to kick you out myself.”
“Alright, I’m going.” Caden finally agreed to leave, but not without reminding me, “Make sure you rest properly at home.
“Got it,” I replied, practically shoving him out the door.
Not long after Caden left, I heard a knock at my bedroom door.
I glanced over. Could he have forgotten something and come back?
Just as I was about to open the door, a familiar voice called out. “Ms. Sinclair.”
It was Willa.
I got up and opened the door.
She stood there holding a tray of breakfast, an assortment of dishes neatly arranged on it.
“This is … ?” I looked at the food, a little puzzled.
Willa smiled as she set the tray down. “Mr. Holbrook asked me to prepare this for you. He said you should. eat something light because of your allergies, so he had me make this for you. Try them, Ms. Sinclair. See it you like them.”
Caden asked her to specially make this for me?
A warmth spread in my chest. “Thank you, I really appreciate it.”

I curled my lips into a smirk. Let those keyboard warriors have their moment. Not that I care.
The allergy ointment was working well. A few more applications and the rashes would be completely gone.
I headed to the bathroom for a shower, washing off the old ointment before applying a fresh layer.
Leaning back lazily in the bathtub, surrounded by bubbles, I felt completely at ease.
Yet, the person lurking in the shadows, scheming against me, remained a mystery.
I narrowed my eyes. Whoever they were, resorting to such underhanded tricks–they clearly had a death wish.
I wasn’t about to let them off the hook.
After a long, relaxing soak, I stepped out of the bath–only to realize I had forgotten to bring a change of
clothes.
There was no helping it. I wrapped myself in a towel and stepped out.
Securing the towel tightly, I opened the bathroom door and walked into my room.
The moment I stepped inside, I froze.
A tall, lean figure was sitting on the sofa.
Caden?
“Ah!” I let out an instinctive scream.
Wasn’t he supposed to be at work? Why was he suddenly in my room?

There she was, fresh out of the shower, her damp hair dripping with water. A white towel was wrapped. loosely around her, her fair skin practically glowing. The faint reddish marks from her allergic reaction only made her look even more enticing.
I felt my body heat up instantly. My pulse pounded as I stood up abruptly, my dark eyes burning with intensity as I locked my gaze onto her.
I was a healthy young man, and she was standing there dressed like this–what was she thinking?
Rosaline’s face flushed as soon as she caught my heated stare.
“Caden, get out!” she gasped, clutching the towel tighter around her.
Leave?
At a time like this? No way.

“Rosaline, you’re breathtaking,” I murmured in her ear, my voice deep and husky.
“Ugh, let go of me!” she protested, squirming in my embrace, too afraid to struggle too hard in case her towel slipped.
I paid her no mind. Lowering my head, I captured her soft, sweet lips in a deep, hungry kiss.
She tasted like candy–sweet, warm, and utterly irresistible…

“Hurry up and savor her properly. I love this taste so much.” Edward howled excitedly from the depths of my soul.
I could feel his excitement surging through me as I gripped Rosaline’s slender waist, pressing her body tightly against mine.
My kisses rained down on her like a storm. Rosaline tensed, caught between embarrassment and shyness, her face so flushed it looked like it might burst into flames.
She clutched her towel tightly, too flustered to move, allowing me to claim the sweetness of her lips at will.
The temperature in the room seemed to rise, consuming both of us
But just then, the sharp chime of a phone ringing broke through the heated atmosphere.
“Your phone.” Rosaline seized the moment to break free.
Crap!
Cursing under my breath, I fished out my phone and glanced at the screen–it was Yale.
Taking a slow breath to steady myself, I finally answered, “What is it?”
On the other end, Yale clearly sensed my irritation, his voice cautious as he reported, “Apologies for disturbing you, Mr. Holbrook. We’ve got a lead on Ms. Sinclair’s allergic reaction from yesterday.”
“Oh?” I smirked.
“Yes. We traced the flowers back from those two students to the florist and then tracked the supplier. Turns out, an employee at the nursery admitted to wearing a platinum ring that accidentally fell into the bouquet that day.”
I frowned. What a coincidence.
“The involved parties are currently at the police station giving statements,” Yale continued. “I’ll send someone over shortly to get more details,”
“Alright. I turned to look at Rosaline, only to find that she had already fled into the bathroom.

Caden met my gaze, his voice low. “Yale said an employee from the flower nursery came forward, admitting that she accidentally dropped a platinum ring into the bouquet while working, which supposedly caused
this ‘accident.”
Accident?
Was it really an accident?
Someone had actually stepped forward to admit it.
But…
How was that possible?
If it was just a ring falling into the bouquet, there should have only been minor traces on the petals–it couldn’t have caused such a severe allergic reaction.
This meant this was no accident.
The only question was whether this employee’s confession was a coincidence or if someone had orchestrated it behind the scenes.
“Do you believe this was an accident?” I pressed my lips together and asked.
Caden’s voice was cold. Absolutely not.”
“I thought so, too,” I murmured. “But we can treat it as one.”
Caden arched a brow. “What do you mean?”
I smiled. “Let’s play along.
“If we made the mastermind believe that I had really dismissed the incident at the ceremony as an accident, they would let their guard down and act more recklessly–making it easier for them to slip up.”
With that, I grabbed Caden’s arm. “Come on, we’re going to the police station.”
“Your allergy hasn’t fully healed yet. Just rest at home. I’ll have Yale send over the documents later.” Caden paused, his voice gentle.
“I’m fine.” I shook my head, determined to go to the police station.
No matter what, I had to play my part convincingly. That was the only way to make it believable.
If I personally went to the Werewolf Police Station to investigate, I’d have a better chance of throwing the real culprit off track.

“Ms. Sinclair, you’re so kind.” The girl looked touched. “Not only did I make you have an allergic reaction. but you also ended up trending because of it… yet you’re not even mad at me.”
“You didn’t do it on purpose.” I patted her shoulder lightly. “Don’t let it weigh on you.”

Jordan, standing nearby, turned to the two students. “You’re free to leave once you finish your statements.”

Just then, the flower nursery worker also finished giving her statement and walked out, escorted by a werewolf officer.

“Don’t worry,” I said with a smile. “Since it was an accident, I’ll speak to your boss and make sure no one gets blamed”

I nodded. “Of course.”

Once she had left, I turned to Jordan and spoke with a neutral expression. “Mr. Lennox, you can proceed with issuing the statement. Just tell everyone that what happened at the launching ceremony was an accident.
Wendy’s POV:
I lounged on the couch, mindlessly scrolling through my phone. When I saw all the negative comments: about Rosaline online, I couldn’t help but feel pleased.
“Wendy, you’re really clever. We didn’t have to lift a finger, and Rosaline already embarrassed herself so badly. Look at her ugly face; it’s really funny,” Lilian said, standing in front of me, covering her mouth and laughing
“Hmph, she deserves it! That’s still too lenient on her!” I put my phone down and looked at Lilian, speaking with irritation.
I heard that Rosaline’s allergy had more or less cleared up, which seemed a bit too fortunate for her.
That shameless Omega, Rosaline–she deserved to be completely disfigured!
Just thinking about how Caden had held Rosaline in his arms yesterday, looking so concerned for her, made me so jealous that I wished I could turn into a wolf and tear her apart.
Rosaline had already turned into a hideous monster yesterday–looking at her made me sick–and yet. Caden was still so protective of her!
I couldn’t understand what made Rosaline so special that Caden was so obsessed with her. Why couldn’t Caden look at me the way he looked at her?
“Wendy, look, Rivemon’s werewolf police station just released a statement saying yesterday’s incident was an accident, Lilian suddenly pointed to the phone screen.

How could it be an accident? It was clearly Candice’s doing.

“Looks like Candice isn’t completely stupid. She’s much smarter than Stella,” I said, grinning happily.
“Exactly. Since Candice managed to embarrass Rosaline in front of everyone without anyone noticing, next time, she’ll definitely be able to end Rosaline’s career! Lilian said, her voice dark with malice.
She had never liked Rosaline.
Lilian had been secretly in love with Jasper for two years, but in his eyes, there was only Rosaline.
Lilian was just as eager to get rid of Rosaline as I was. It suited my plans perfectly.
“Lilian, don’t you have a cousin working at Starplay Entertainment?” I glanced at Lilian.

Rosaline POV
I had rested at home for two days, and my allergy had completely healed.
This experience had really been a wake–up call. In addition to being extra cautious, I made sure to always carry some ointment with me.
This deadly allergy was also one of the key reasons I had to keep my Alpha identity hidden.
Normally, Alphas were known for their remarkable healing abilities, but for some unknown reason, I was allergic to platinum.
It was truly bizarre.
That night, I was lying in bed, scrolling aimlessly through my phone, when I suddenly received a call from Yura.
“Yura, what’s up?” I answered the phone.
Yura asked with concern, “Are you okay? I saw the news about your allergy at the launching ceremony.”

“Anyway, is there something you need?” I asked.
Yura snapped back to focus. “Next month is the annual Phoshire Fashion Design Competition. Rosaline, are you participating?”
“Next month?” I froze for a moment.
The Phoshire Fashion Design Competition was coming up so soon. In previous years, I had always

I pondered for a moment before saying, “I think we should let the newcomers participate in the design competition and gain some experience this year. Ava and Mira are both good choices.
“That won’t work, Yura replied, a hint of concern in her voice. “Susan has already challenged our studio. If you don’t step in, the junior designers underneath you won’t be able to handle it. If we lose, our reputation over the past few years will be ruined.”
Susan was the lead designer at Sunsan Studio. Before Leo came on the scene, she had held the title of top designer in the werewolf world. But two years ago, Leo came out of nowhere, defeating Susan in a design competition, and Leo’s studio had been thriving ever since. Susan had been holding a grudge, eager to reclaim her position.
“I see,” I said, rubbing my forehead with a sigh. “Then I’ll try to make time to look into it.”
“Come on, don’t forget your friends just because of Caden’s Eclipse Pack, Yura teased with a playful smile. “Leo’s studio can’t do without its lead designer!”
“Alright, I get it,” I replied confidently, a smile on my face, calm and unruffled. “It’s just Susan. We’ll definitely win!”
Yura let out a sigh of relief and smiled. That’s good to hear. I’ll be waiting for your good news.”
As I was about to continue checking the news, a deep voice interrupted from the doorway. “Who were you talking to?”
I looked up and saw Caden leaning casually against the doorframe. He was wearing a white bathrobe, hands tucked into his pockets. His usual distant, cold demeanor had softened into a more relaxed, homely aura.
I froze for a moment. When had he come in? How much of my conversation with Yura had he overheard?
“Did you eavesdrop on my call?” I raised an eyebrow.
Caden stepped forward, towering over me, his tone playful as he spoke, “I wasn’t eavesdropping. I was just listening.”
“You’re a jerk!” I shot him a glare. “What did you hear?”
“What do you think I have heard?” Caden raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on his lips.
I snorted and decided not to entertain him any further. This man was so shameless, listening to my calls and acting like it was perfectly normal.
Caden sat beside me, his dark gaze focused on my face, a meaningful smile tugging at his lips as he asked, “So, you’re Leo, aren’t you?”

“Not long after, Yura publicly revealed that very logo. If you weren’t Leo, how could she know that so clearly? Then, you were accused of plagiarism by Marilyn, the lead designer of Heartstone Jewels, and Yura swooped in to back me up, proving Marilyn was the real plagiarist.
“After that, you and Yura went to find Dr. Watts. You went missing in an avalanche, and Yura almost broke down, desperately searching for you. The bond between you and Yura was clear. No one else could make Yura do such things unconditionally–except for Leo.
“So, all the signs pointed to you being Leo. Of course, after overhearing your conversation with Yura by your door just now, I am certain my assumptions are right. What do you think?”
I raised an eyebrow, looking at Rosaline provocatively.
“Fine….” Rosaline blinked her beautiful eyes, looking somewhat resigned.
She finally admitted it.
“Why have you been hiding this from me?” I looked at her with a deeper, more meaningful gaze.

But I never expected Rosaline to be so incredible.
Richard’s words still echoed in my mind.

No wonder Richard was so adamant about getting me and Rosaline engaged–because Rosaline truly is amazing!

“Alright, talk to you then.” I hung up and looked up–only to meet Caden’s cold, piercing gaze.
“I’m going to the set tomorrow.” I figured I should let him know.
Caden’s expression darkened. “I’ll take you there.”
“No need. Jasper said he’d pick me up… “I hesitated, feeling the tension in the air.
“I said I’ll take you there. His voice was even colder this time, his tone firm.
“Fine, you’re the boss. Whatever you say.” I sighed helplessly.
Caden was great in every way–except when it came to relationships. He could be ridiculously possessive.
The next day, the weather was sunny, and I got up early.
After a few days of rest, my allergy had completely healed.
As soon as I went downstairs, I saw Caden busy making breakfast in the kitchen.

looked at him and said, “Let me do it.”
I wasn’t bad at cooking, though I didn’t enjoy it much, Caden had made me breakfast multiple times, and I hadn’t made any for him.
“Can you cook?” Caden asked with a hint of skepticism.
“Are you looking down on me?” I smirked, speaking confidently. “Not only can I cook, but I’m actually quite good at it.
“Really?” Caden smiled. “Maybe next time. I’ll handle it. But for today, I’ll do it.”
After a pause, he gently pushed me out of the kitchen, his tone unexpectedly affectionate. “There’s too much smoke here. Go wait for me in the dining room.”
Ah, Caden was just too sweet.
While we were eating breakfast, Jasper’s call came in.
I was about to answer, but Caden quickly grabbed the phone.
“What are you doing? Give it back to me! I shot him an annoyed look.
But Caden ignored me and answered the call, his voice cold. “Thanks for your concern, but I’ll take Rosaline to the set. You don’t need to worry
With that, he hung up the phone.
“You’re too much, Caden. How could you just answer my call without my permission?” I said, speechless.
Caden gave me a sideways glance. “What’s the matter? You can’t bear to part with Jasper?”

Caden insisted on driving me to the set, so I had no choice but to let him.
“Alright, you can drop me off here. Get back to work. I got out of the car and saw that Caden was about to follow me, so I quickly spoke up.
Just as I was about to turn and leave, he grabbed my wrist.
Towering over me, he looked down with a cold expression. “Do you have to go film this drama?”
I was speechless. Of all times, he was choosing now to ask me
“Of course, I do. Caden, since when did you get so naggy?” I shot him a glare.
The corner of his lips curled up slightly, and he leaned down to whisper in my car, his voice low and husky. I’m worried about you.”
A warmth spread through my heart.
He was still uneasy because we hadn’t yet found out who was lurking in the shadows, trying to harm me.
I’m fine. Now go.” I smiled, pushing him firmly back into the car.
Traffic was already bad, and with all this delay, I ended up arriving at the set late.
“Rosaline, you’re here?” Jasper immediately walked up to me the moment he saw me.
“Caden dropped you off?” He lowered his voice as he asked.
“Yeah, I replied lightly, not interested in entertaining his emotions. Instead, I glanced around–the cast and director were all present.
Just then, a sharp voice cut through the air. “Ms. Sinclair, you’re late on your very first day of filming?”
I frowned and turned toward the source of the voice–it was Sarah.
Sarah Conti’s POV:
I was Starplay Entertainment’s top actress and the female lead of this drama.
I was also the eldest daughter of the White Moon Pack, a high–ranking Beta.
Over the past few years, my popularity has skyrocketed. Among female celebrities, I was one of the biggest names. Just this year, I even won the Best Actress Award.
Everyone in the industry knew I liked Jasper. There had even been rumors about us.
After all, we were both A–list stars, frequently cast as on–screen couples. We looked perfect together.
What they didn’t know was that for me, it was love at first sight.
Back when I was just a rookie, Jasper was already a superstar.
I had chased after his footsteps, and worked tirelessly to rise to his level, until finally, I was able to stand

For a long time. I thought he was just too focused on his career. I believed that if I held on long enough, he would eventually be moved by my dedication.
But what I never expected was that his heart already belonged to someone else.
That person was Rosaline.
So today, when I saw her. I couldn’t contain the jealousy surging through me.
I didn’t care that she was the CEO of Starplay Entertaini
To me, the only reason she landed the role of the third female lead in the Palace of Desires was because of her status.
Otherwise, a low–rank Omega with zero acting experience would never have been cast in such a role.
Rosaline’s POV:
I could feel Sarah’s hostility, and my brows furrowed slightly.
Sarah was Starplay Entertainment’s top actress and the eldest daughter of the White Moon Pack.
I had always thought highly of her.
I had no idea where her hostility toward me was coming from.
Facing her accusation, I simply smiled. “Sorry, traffic was bad. I didn’t mean to waste everyone’s time.”
“Oh, no need to apologize, Ms. Sinclair. You’re the big boss, after all. It’s only natural for us to wait for you.” Sarah glanced at her watch, her tone laced with sarcasm. “If it were anyone else wasting this much of my time, I’d be asking the director to replace them.”
“Sarah, it’s Rosaline’s first time on set. She didn’t know the way. Being five minutes late is understandable, Jasper stepped in to smooth things over.
“Let’s just get started,” he urged.
After changing into costume and getting my makeup done, I stepped out of the dressing room–and the entire set fell silent.
I was wearing an elegant white plum–blossom embroidered gown that accentuated my regal aura. The form–fitting silhouette highlighted my curves, making my figure look even more stunning.
Dangling from my ears were delicate plum blossom earrings, and my long, jet–black hair was gathered into an intricate willow–leaf bun, held in place by a golden hairpin. The look was both fresh and alluring. sophisticated yet graceful. Even I couldn’t help but feel like I had stepped out of a painting.
The moment Jasper saw me, his eyes filled with admiration and awe.
Meanwhile, Sarah’s gaze was dark with jealousy.
I ignored her completely.
Not my fault I was born looking this good.

The first scene was between Sarah and Jasper. I stood to the side, quietly watching the film.

This scene depicts Sarah’s character, Bea Lopez–a low–ranked Omega werewolf–arriving at an elite corporation for a job interview
Because of her humble background and lack of influence in the corporate world, Bea was ridiculed by several high–ranking Beta competitors. However, she remained composed and countered their taunts with sharp wit. Just then, Jasper’s character, the company’s CEO, happened to pass by and took notice of her.
The main point of the scene was to showcase Bea’s intelligence and grace under pressure. But as Sarah performed, there was always a trace of arrogance in her expression, making it difficult for her to fully convey the character’s emotions.
Gordon, being a perfectionist, was meticulous in his work. He demanded the best from every scene.
“Cut!” Gordon waved his hand and looked up at Sarah. “Sarah, your expression is off. Let’s do it again.” “Cut! Sarah, your positioning is wrong. One more time.”
“Cut! Sarah, your emotions aren’t coming through
“Cut…
After multiple takes, Sarah was starting to lose her composure.
Sarah’s POV:
I had always been confident in my acting skills,
I didn’t rise to the top of the entertainment industry by luck–my talent spoke for itself.
But today, for some reason, I just couldn’t get into the right mindset.
Ever since I saw Rosaline, jealousy had completely taken over my thoughts, making it impossible to focus on my performance.
And the fact that she was standing there watching me? It threw me off even more.
“Sarah, do you want to take a break and find your rhythm?” After yet another failed take, Gordon furrowed his brows and suggested.
I shot him a sideways glance. “Oh, come on, Mr. Wood. Are you being extra picky with me today? This isn’t our first time working together–you know my acting is solid. I’ll be fine.”
Gordon chuckled lightly. “Sarah, it’s not that I’m being too demanding. You’re just not in the right state. today. Did you not get enough rest? Why don’t you take a break? I can shoot another scene first.”
Of course, I wasn’t going to agree. “I think that last take was fine. We can move on.”
But befored could finish my sentence, Rosaline’s expression darkened. She cleared her throat and spoke up. “Mr. Wood is right. Starplay Entertainment is committed to delivering the highest–quality productions to our audience. We don’t cut corners.”

The moment she said that in front of everyone, my expression soured.

And yet, a mere low–ranked Omega like Rosaline dared to criticize me in front of everyone?
Who did she think she was?
She only became CEO of Starplay Entertainment because of her family’s wealth.

What did an Omega like her even know about acting? And now she thought she had the right to judge me?
“You’re right, Ms. Sinclair. But acting is a professional skill. As an outsider, you might not have the most accurate judgment. I shot back at her.
Rosaline frowned slightly before responding in a cold voice, “If even an outsider like me can see there’s a problem, that just proves how bad your performance was.”
“You!” I was momentarily speechless.
She stepped closer, her tone even sharper. “If you can’t deliver the best performance, I have no problem replacing you with someone who can.”
Her words were ruthless. I clenched my fingers into a fist, glaring at her.
She was just an Omega–an outsider who knew nothing about acting. She had no right to criticize my performance, especially not in front of Jasper.
Anger flared within me, and I was about to retort when my manager, Megan Loyden, quickly pulled me back. She turned to Rosaline with an apologetic smile. “Ms. Sinclair, I’m so sorry. Sarah’s been dealing with some personal issues lately, and it’s affected her mood. I apologize on her behalf.”
As she spoke, she shot me a warning look. That was when I finally snapped back to my senses.
No matter how much I hated Rosaline, she was still the CEO of Starplay Entertainment. If I got into a direct conflict with her, I’d be the one to suffer.
If she decided to replace me, my career would be over.
And with her position, blacklisting me would be as easy as snapping her fingers.
I had worked too hard to get to where I was today–I couldn’t let it all go to waste.
Forcing a smile, I looked at Rosaline and said, I’m sorry, Ms. Sinclair. My performance wasn’t at its best just now. I’ll make sure to do better.”
“That’s more like it.” Rosaline’s eyes narrowed slightly before she turned to Gordon.
Gordon addressed the crew. “Take a ten–minute break. We’ll resume after that.”
In the restroom, Megan helped straighten my outfit as she sighed. “Sarah, you were way too impulsive just now. No matter what, Ms. Sinclair is the CEO of Starplay Entertainment. If you offend her, it won’t end well

“That’s exactly why you should be more careful, Sarah,” Megan reminded me. “You got to where you are through your hard work. You should treasure that.”
I gritted my teeth. “What’s so great about Rosaline, anyway? Why does Jasper like her?”
I was the one who truly deserved to be with him.
“Sarah, I think Jasper’s just blinded by her for now. One day, he’ll realize what he’s missing.” Megan reassured me. “But no matter what, you can’t afford to offend Ms. Sinclair right now. Do you understand?”

I was just about to reach the restroom when I overheard a conversation between two female werewolves
inside.
I stopped in my tracks.
So Sarah’s hostility toward me was because of Jasper.
I rubbed my temples, feeling a bit irritated. “So many beautiful female werewolves were after Jasper–why did he insist on bothering me?”
Lilian, Candice… And now Sarah. This was getting exhausting.
After the break, Sarah finally got into character. She went through several takes before barely passing the
scene.
Next up was my turn.
This was a scene between Jasper and me.
It was simple. I played Selina, a tea–picking girl, and during a carefree moment on a swing in the forest, I encountered Jasper’s character, the visiting CEO.
The moment our eyes met, he fell for me at first sight.
“Ms. Sinclair, we’re ready to start. Gordon smiled and gestured toward the swing.
I nodded and gave an “OK” sign. “Let’s go.
I walked into the small grove and sat on the swing. Behind me, the actor playing my friend started pushing me gently.
But as soon as I sat down, something felt off.
This swing had been set up by the crew. Normally, the props team would double–check everything, so there shouldn’t have been any issues.
Yet, I could feel it swaying unnaturally.
I frowned slightly, a thought flashing through my mind, “Had someone tampered with it?”
The actor behind me, unaware of the issue, kept pushing, sending the swing higher and higher.
And then, just as I reached the peak, the ropes holding the swing suddenly loosened. The entire swing plummeted downward.
“Oh no! The rope snapped!” Gasps of shock filled the air.
From this Height, a normal person would either be seriously injured or crippled upon impact.
I remained calm, glancing down before taking a deep breath. Adjusting my posture, I prepared for the landing.

In the next instant, a tall, lean figure appeared like a divine savior, dashing toward me with incredible speed. Just as I was about to hit the ground, he caught me without hesitation.
I blinked, my gaze locking onto a familiar face.
Caden
When did he get here?
Wasn’t he supposed to be at work?
How did he manage to show up right on time–and catch me so effortlessly?
For a moment. I was completely stunned.
“Rosaline, are you okay?” Caden’s strong arms were wrapped tightly around me as he asked with concern.
I shook my head. T’m fine.”
After a brief pause, I asked, “What are you doing here?”
Caden’s deep voice rumbled, “I was worried about you.”
Worried about me?
So Caden had been on set this whole time?
By now, the surrounding werewolves had gathered around, their voices filled with concern. “Ms. Sinclair, are you all right?”
“I’m fine,” I reassured them with a small smile as I stood up.
“Rosaline, are you hurt?” Jasper came running over, slightly out of breath.
When the swing collapsed, he had been waiting outside the grove.
According to the script, he was supposed to enter the forest a few minutes later and stumble upon me on the swing.
That meant he had been too far away to witness what happened in real–time, which explained why he arrived later than the others.
Jasper, was the swing checked beforehand? Why did it suddenly fall?” I frowned at him.
Jasper’s expression darkened. Turning to his assistant, Hugo Yallop, he ordered, “Go check what happened to the swing.
Hugo nodded respectfully. “Yes, Mr. Sullivan.”
He carefully examined the swing before reporting “The screws holding the rones in place came loose

“The screws came loose?” A cold smile tugged at my lips.
The moment I fell, the first thought that crossed my mind was that someone had tampered with the swing.
And the person behind it was likely the same one who triggered my allergic reaction during the opening
ceremony.
I had suspected all along that they wouldn’t just let things go.
Sure enough, they didn’t even bother waiting long before making another move.
“How does a perfectly fine screw suddenly come loose?” I pressed my lips together and looked at Jasper.
His expression grew even grimmer. “Get someone to investigate this thoroughly,” he instructed Hugo.
“Sure, Mr. Sullivan,” Hugo replied respectfully.
“Rosaline, don’t worry. I’ll make sure we get to the bottom of this,” Jasper said, his face full of guilt.
I understood why he felt responsible–after all, he was the one who insisted I take on this role.
If anything had happened to me, he’d never forgive himself.
I nodded, about to say something, when a sudden force wrapped around my waist.
Before I could react, Caden lifted me into his arms.

“Caden, what are you doing? 1 scolded him in a low voice. Put me down!TM
His expression was cold. “You’re hurt. I’m taking you to the hospital.
“I already told you, I’m fine!” I struggled in his arms. “Put me down–I still have scenes to shoot.”
What was Caden thinking?
I was an Alpha. A fall from a swing was nothing–heck, I could jump from the tenth floor and still walk away unscathed.
I barely even took a tumble, and besides, he caught me before I hit the ground. I was perfectly fine–there was no need for a hospital.
But my words only made his expression grow even darker. “Someone tampered with the swing–that’s why the screws came loose. If that person is still lurking around, waiting for another chance to hurt you, what are you going to do then?”
I stared at him, speechless. He was overthinking things.
Before I could say anything, Jasper stepped forward to block him. “Caden put Rosaline down!”
“Move,” Caden said coldly. “She just fell from that height, and you still expect her to keep filming?”
Jasper hesitated, momentarily at a loss for words.
First
I sighed. “Forget it, Jasper. Just shoot the other scenes first–I’ll do mine tomorrow.”
I didn’t want these two high–ranking heirs fighting over me, and, to be fair, Caden did have a point.
Still, I had a feeling today’s incident would be making entertainment headlines soon.
Without another word, Caden carried me straight to his car and practically tossed me inside.
Noticing the stormy look on his face, I glanced at him. “Caden, I’m fine. Didn’t you
catch me?”
“I’m not fine–happy now?” He lifted his right hand and held it out to me.
That’s when I saw it–a large bruise spreading across his hand.
It must’ve happened when I landed on him.
“Caden, are you okay?” My heart clenched at the sight.
A strange emotion washed over me. He had gotten hurt protecting me–again.
Seeing the concern in my eyes, Caden’s lips curved slightly, a faint smile flickering in his gaze. “Getting injured for you is worth it.”
His wordsent a sudden warmth rushing to my ears.
Caden had a way of making people flustered.

I rummaged through the trunk, grabbed the kit, and returned to his side. Pulling out some iodine and gauze, I softened my voice without even realizing it.

Caden gently placed his injured hand in my palm.
My brows furrowed as I took in the nasty bruise,
“Next time, don’t rush in when you’re not sure what you’re up against.”
As I spoke, I dipped a cotton swab in iodine and carefully disinfected his wound.
My movements were light, almost instinctively gentle.
“Alpha, this is the first time you’ve been so tender, Freya teased.
“Oh, cut itout. He savedme, tohich means he savedyoutoo.
“We didn’t need him to save us, Freya retorted.
Caden’s POV:
Leaning back against the seat, I rested my chin on my other hand, my gaze locked onto Rosaline.
She was so focused on treating my wound, that her lips pressed together in a slight pout–probably without realizing it. That tiny expression, filled with worry, sent a strange, almost electric sensation through my chest.
Once she finished disinfecting the wound, she carefully wrapped it in gauze and let out a small sigh of relief. “All done. But you should still go to the hospital to get it checked. You don’t want to risk an infection -tetanus and all that. It’d be a hassle. Besides, you’re not an Alpha yet, so your recovery won’t be as fast.”
She lifted her head as she spoke, only to meet my eyes.
She froze for a second. That little stunned expression of hers–way too cute.
I swallowed, my Adam’s apple bobbing, then reached out and pulled her into my arms in one smooth. motion.
Lowering my head, I leaned in toward her slightly parted, rosy lips.
“What the hell are you doing?” Rosaline shoved me away.
She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, her tone laced with exasperation. “You’re injured, and this is what’s on your mind?”
A smirk tugged at the corner of my lips. “Well, can you blame me? It’s because it’s you.”
And with that, I leaned in again.
Rosaline immediately pushed against my chest. “You’re at it again!”
“Hmm?” I raised a brow, amusement flickering in my eyes.
Then, without warning. I reached for the seatbelt beside her pulled it over her, and clicked it into place.
