Chapter 828 Destined Mate
After Grandpa left, I turned look at Rosaline, who was still unconscious.

A long time had passed, and she still hadn’t shown any signs of waking up, which only made me more
anxious.
I changed her blood–stained clothes and gently laid her on the bed.
Her skin was still extremely pale, making her look like a dying patient.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
I opened it to see a werewolf doctor standing there.
I quickly invited him in.
He was the best werewolf doctor I could find on short notice. Since Rosaline was still unconscious, we couldn’t risk moving her, so he had to come us.
The island was far from the Werewolf Continent. Even with planes, it still took forever to get a doctor here.
“Doctor, thank you for coming,” I said, stepping aside.
“It’s my duty,” he said, nodding before walking in with his medical bag.
This place had originally been set up for Rosaline to recover during her pregnancy. Grandpa had moved the best medical equipment from the hospital here because of her condition.
It gave her a safe, comfortable place to heal without having to return to the hospital.
Feeling relieved, I instructed the servants to bring in the equipment.
The doctor conducted a full–body examination before turning his attention to her abdomen. The baby hadn’t developed. She had miscarried–an outcome that, given her condition, seemed inevitable.
He told me losing the child earlier might actually be better for her health.
The doctor handed several bottles of nutrient solution and medicine to the servants. “Mrs. Rosaline is unconscious and unable to eat. She’ll need these nutrients for now. Give her the medicine tonight,” he instructed.
I quietly wrote everything down as the doctor explained.
Soon, an IV was inserted into Rosaline’s fragile hand, and my chest tightened.
A few days ago, she had been in the hospital for injections. Now, she had to endure this pain all over again.
For the next few days, she dépended on medicine and nutrient solutions. Every day, I’d help her change clothes, turn her over in bed, and occasionally wipe her body.
But she still hadn’t woken up.
After four or five days, Grandpa suddenly walked in.
“What are you doing here?” I asked coldly..

Rosaline was in this state because of him. He had promised to stay our of our affairs, but if the woke up the definitely wouldn’t want to see him.
“Caden, come out for a minute. I need to talk,” Grandpa said, glancing at Rosaline before heading out.
I touched Rosaline’s face and followed him.
“What is it?” I asked.
Grandpa stood in the living room, gazing out at the sea, his voice serious. “I’ve decided to pass the Alpha position to you.”
I froze. Grandpa was old, but still healthy. Considering our recent fights, I thought he might strip me of my right to succeed.
“Grandpa, why all of a sudden….”
“I’m old, and you’ve managed the Eclipse Pack well. It’s time for you to be Alpha,” he interrupted.
“Grandpa… “I stared at him, not sure what to say.
“I also know Rosaline won’t forgive me this time. I’ve wronged her and her grandfather. Once I pass the position to you, I’ll leave the country. You won’t see me again,” he said, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. “Caden, the Eclipse Pack is now relying on you.”
I looked at him and nodded firmly.
Grandpa turned and declared loudly, “By the Moon Goddess above! I, Richard, Alpha of the Eclipse Pack, solemnly swear to appoint my eldest grandson, Caden, as the next Alpha of the Eclipse Pack. I make this oath without regret, and I will never go back on it.”
As he spoke, a warm aura radiated from him, wrapping around me.
It felt so comforting I couldn’t help shouting out loud.
When I came to my senses from this excitement and comfort, Grandpa was gone.
“Alpha, congrats!” Edward said, grinning.
Then I noticed a faint red line on my wrist.,
“Could this be the red thread of a destined mate?”
I raised my hand in surprise and saw the red line stretching from my wrist, extending into the distance- passing through the door and straight into Rosaline’s ward.
“Alpha, we’ve found your destined mate!” Edward howled excitedly in my mind.
I was thrilled. I pushed open the door and saw that Rosaline’s wrist was connected to the same red thread of destiny.
I walked over, leaned down, and kissed her forehead gently.
