Jack leaned back, his gaze lowered.
“I don’t know.”
“You didn’t secretly teach her?”
“She said she self-taught.”
Garrett was astonished. “Seriously? Someone actually learned it? Since you became famous with the twelve-hit combo, countless people have tried and failed.”
Anyone who’s played the Gunner knows how hard it is to master King’s twelve-hit combo!
It requires both talent and brains.
Unless King himself teaches you, which almost never happens.

The gaming world is still speculating about our relationship.
Jack tapped his fingers on the desk. “She’s smart and incredibly talented.” I’ll go even further than he did.
I arrived at the school gates after school.
My driver waited respectfully.
I glanced at the infirmary before getting into the car.
Returning to the Windham mansion, the place felt alien.
I’d valued this place before.
Now, it felt strange.
Entering the hall, Noah stood up.”You’re back. Eat dinner. I had the kitchen prepare your favorites.”
“I’ll eat in my room.”
I went upstairs. Noah told the butler to send a meal up.
The butler grumbled, “Sir, this shows Alice has something against Miss Chloe. People will think she doesn’t want Chloe to eat with them.”
Chloe quickly interjected, “Butler Davis, don’t say that. Alice probably wants to save time.”
“Miss Chloe, you’re too kind.”
Noah frowned.”Fine. If she doesn’t want to eat downstairs, then she doesn’t have to. As long as we keep quiet, no one will know what’s happening here.” The butler shut up.
Chloe noticed Noah’s change and grew more anxious. She couldn’t lose their favor. She coughed.”Noah, I made some medicinal porridge. Try it. It’s not as good as Alice’s, but I tried my best.”
Noah softened slightly seeing the porridge. “You didn’t have to do this.”
“I have to. You have a weak stomach. I’ll take care of you until Alice cools down.” Chloe, still pale from her illness, looked frail.
Noah smiled, relieved. “The thought counts.”
The porridge wasn’t as good as mine, but he ate some anyway, missing my cooking.
Upstairs, I found my room had been rearranged. It bothered me, but I shrugged it off-I’d be moving out soon.
“Miss Alice, your dinner.” The butler delivered the food, but couldn’t resist, “Miss Alice, why won’t you eat with everyone? People will think you dislike Miss Chloe.”
I, annoyed, glared at the butler. He’d always favored Chloe, almost treating her like a daughter. Last time, Chloe had manipulated things, and this butler was complicit.
I knocked over the tray, my eyes cold.”Know your place. You’re just a butler. Don’t presume to lecture me.”
The butler was indignant. “Miss Alice, I may be a servant, but I have a right to speak the truth!”
“Oh, and I have to listen?”
My patience had run out. I’d ignored things before, but some people pushed their luck. This butler was one of
them.
“Alice, what happened?” Noah rushed upstairs, seeing the spilled food.”Was the food not to your liking?”
The butler started to cry.”Sir, I tried to advise Miss Alice to eat with everyone, but she knocked over the food and said I wasn’t worthy to talk to her.”
Noah frowned.”Butler Davis, you weren’t.”
The butler was shocked. Noah was actually siding with me!
Chloe stepped forward. “Noah, Butler Davis meant well. He’s been with the family for years, like a father to me loyal and hardworking.”
Noah softened.”That’s not what I meant.”
“All of you, get out!” I didn’t want to see them.
Noah left.”I’ll send someone to clean up and bring another meal.”
He told the butler, “Be more respectful to Alice. Don’t say things you shouldn’t.” *
He realized even the butler dared to lecture me.
They’d neglected me for too long, and the staff reflected that. He hadn’t done his job as a brother.
Chloe’s heart sank seeing Noah’s back. He’d changed. Before, he would’ve sided with the butler. She had to stop this.

I opened my game client and saw the news:[Ball team invites King’s apprentice, Landing Team is stunned!] I clicked. Blitzkrieg Team’s captain, John Wilson, publicly invited me to join. Luke publicly rejected the offer, his tone sharp,”My sister won’t join your team.”
I was surprised. Did John Wilson not know I was Luke’s sister?
Seeing Jack online, I invited him.
[Time Stops]:”? Who are you?”
I replied: [Master, is that you?]

John Wilson nearly fell off his chair!
