Caden Is a Jerk
Right now, Caden and I were both still at the hospital, taking care of Richard. We didn’t have time to deal with the mess online.
Since neither of us responded, the rumors kept spiraling.
Some people even dug up random hotel receipts and claimed they proved Caden was cheating with Opaline.
Others slammed me, saying I humiliated a pregnant woman at my own wedding. That I could’ve hurt her emotionally and that it might affect the baby.
Plenty of people accused me of being jealous of Opaline’s pregnancy, afraid she’d take my place.
Now, everyone was waiting for us to make a statement.
But I didn’t have time for that. Richard was still unconscious–I couldn’t care less about what people online were saying.
Before long, the situation snowballed out of control.
A video of Richard scolding Opaline surfaced online. As expected, the netizens took her side.
The narrative? Caden cheated, refused to admit it, and as the Eclipse Pack’s Alpha–to–be, he not only didn’t defend a prégnant woman, he even joined in blaming her. In the eyes of netizens who already hated the rich, this was unforgivable.
Crowds flooded Opaline’s Twitter, comforting her.
Some even started fundraising to help her raise the baby. The Eclipse Pack was practically drowning in the
backlash.
Then, Opaline posted a tweet.
“Never thought something like this would happen to me.”
Her post instantly blew up.
In the video, she sobbed with her swollen belly in full view, saying her biggest regret was ever meeting
Caden.
She painted their story in vivid detail, crying right on cue. Tons of female netizens sympathized and rushed to defend her.
Soon after, she launched a livestream. Within minutes, viewers poured in.
When it came to scandals involving/elite packs like Eclipse, the internet couldn’t get enough. Some even started sending her gifts during the stream.
With this, Opaline wasn’t just dragging Caden and the Eclipse Pack through the mud–she was also raking
in serious cash.
I was speechless watching it all unfold.
I couldn’t help but click into her livestream. Onscreen, Opaline was sobbing like her world had ended,
pouring her heart out to the audience.
“S–six months ago, he got drunk. I was on the street… He dragged me into a hotel and forced himself on me
The more she spoke, the harder she cried, rubbing her red, puffy eyes while accusing Caden.
Instantly, the chat lit up with angry comments. People were ripping into him, calling him scum.
“Everyone knows it’s always the woman who suffers in these situations. But after sleeping with me, Caden denied everything. He said I was after his money.”
Her live performance sent the audience into a frenzy.
“Someone like him shouldn’t be the Eclipse Pack’s heir! The Eclipse Group needs to go bankrupt already!”
“I used to love him and Rosaline as a couple. I never thought he was trash like this.”
“I thought it’d be my shame to carry forever. But two months later–I found out I was pregnant.”
She cried harder, clutching her stomach. “At first I wanted to get rid of it. But feeling this little life grow inside me every day… I just couldn’t do it.”
The chat exploded with even more sympathy. Viewers kept throwing gifts at her, pledging to help her raise the baby.
I watched, heart pounding, as her pity act drew in tens of thousands of viewers. The numbers kept climbing.
“After Caden got me pregnant, I tried many times to find him at the Eclipse Group. But I kept getting blocked by werewolf guards at the door. I don’t know if he told them to keep me out, but for months, I couldn’t even reach the father of my baby.”
That one hit like gasoline on fire. The hate poured out of the stream, flooded onto Twitter, and shot straight to trending.
I stared at the screen, stunned. In just one day, this had spiraled completely out of control.
Even if I came forward now, any explanation would probably just make it worse.
I forced myself to calm down and finally sent Opaline a private message.
“Hello, Ms. Monte. This is Rosaline Sinclair. We need to talk–about the Holbrooks and your baby.”
