Chapter 797 My Plan
Caden’s POV:
Even though the business war with Stars Pack and Rampage Pack had simmered down. I kept my guard up, Stars Pack wasn’t the real threat. It was Jack, the heir of Rampage Pack, who deserved my full attention.
My Beta handed me surveillance reports on Jack. I noticed that lately, no matter where he went, he always carried a folder.
“Mr. Holbrook, the document Jack’s holding is a cooperation contract. After losing many partners in our last conflict, he’s been scrambling to secure new clients,” Yale said, reading my expression.
I nodded. Jack’s desperation was clear. Carrying contracts everywhere meant Rampage Pack’s companies were in trouble.
Since our last failed alliance, the relationship between Stars Pack and Rampage Pack had been fracturing. Jack’s urgency confirmed the rumors.
A slow smile crept across my face. Those two packs colluding was one thing, but Rampage Pack especially needed to be taught a lesson. If I let this slide, other packs would think Eclipse Pack was easy prey.
After a few shument, i looked up and said to Yale, “Look around the company,
find.
part of a CEO, and bring them to me.”
who looks the
Yale blinked, clearly confused. “You want me to find another ‘you‘ inside the company? How am I supposed to do that?”
I gave a small, knowing smile. “I said someone who looks like a CEO. I never said it had to be me.”
That finally clicked for Yale. He nodded, understanding the plan, then turned and left the room.
Less than thirty minutes later, Yale came back with a sharp–looking werewolf trailing behind him–clean- cut, fair–skinned, calm, and collected.
“Mr. Holbrook, this is Barnabas Kingsley,” Yale said with a hint of respect. “He’s a loyal Beta–level employee at Eclipse Pack and one of our best.”
Barnabas gave a respectful bow. I nodded back and motioned him forward a few steps. “Not bad. He’s got the right presence.”
Yale looked puzzled. “So, what’s the move here, Mr. Holbrook?”
I glanced at Barnabas and smirked. “Jack’s scrambling hard to pull in clients. I’m just about to hand him one hell of a catch–a big–time CEO.”
Yale’s eyes lit up with sudden understanding.
Rampage Pack was struggling, and Jack’s desperation showed. Sending a major client his way now? He’d be eating out of our hand.
Yale took Barnabas to get a quick makeover–dressed him in a sharp, high–end suit and added a bit of stubble to his otherwise clean face. The result was a seasoned, confident company CEO ready to take on the boardroom.

I didn’t stop there. I forged a new identity for Barnabas and spun up a fake company under his name,
On paper, it looked massive, and I made sure to mark it as a branch returning for development from Fostrau.
With all this in place, Jack wouldn’t have a clue.
Then I sent Barnabas back to his “company” and told him to make the call to Jack.
Jack’s POV:
I slumped in my office chair, weighed down by frustration and bad news.
Our last joint strike with Stars Pack against Eclipse Group had blown up in our faces. Our stock plummeted. and most of our clients jumped ship to Eclipse. Business had all but frozen.
Then my phone rang.
I answered, and the voice on the other end was polite, measured. “Hello, is this Mr. Jack Horton? We met at that party recently.”
I straightened up instantly. “Yeah, that’s me. Who’s calling?”
“This is Barnabas Kingsley. We met before. You told me about your company’s situation.”
“Oh, right–Mr. Kingsley! Yeah, I remember now,” I said quickly, nodding along.
Honestly, I had no real clue who Barnabas was. Lately, I’d been dealing with so many werewolf execs that names blurred together. But if someone reached out, I wasn’t about to turn them away.
“You mentioned a project last time. I’m interested and want to talk it through. Would that work for you?”
With clients drying up, Barnabas‘ name or not, I had no choice but to say yes.
“Alright, I’ll meet you at the café,” I said, dropping an address before diving into a search on Barnabas’s background.
What I found blew me away. Though he came from a small, barely known pack, Barnabas had shown business smarts early on. By adulthood, he’d landed roles in major companies and climbed fast, pulling in millions annually. Now, he sat as CEO over several multinational firms based in Fostrau.
The profile was impressively thorough with no obvious flaws. I figured I’d at least hear this client out–he came knocking on my door after all.
