Chapter 787 Plead for Her
Rosaline’s POV:
I glanced at Evelyn, who was passed out in the defendant’s seat, let out a cold laugh, and then walked out of the courtroom.
News of her collapsing in court spread online almost instantly.

In the end, Evelyn was sentenced to ten years in prison. For the heiress of the Brightfang Pack, her life was In the end, Evelyn was sentenced to te basically over.
I won. But she was my senior, after all. The day after the trial, Andrew showed up at my place.
“Rosaline, how’ve you been lately?” he said with a forced smile.
“You already know. Why bother asking?” I replied coldly.
I knew exactly why he was here. So I didn’t bother being polite.
“I know this whole thing was Evelyn’s fault.” He gave up the small talk and got to the point.
His words stung. Even with everything out in the open, he was still taking her side.
“You’re here to plead for her, aren’t you?” I looked straight at him.
Andrew hesitated, then pushed forward. “You know I’m not just your master–I’m hers too. Back when you were under fire, didn’t I step in for you? You’re both my apprentices. I can’t just abandon her.”
I nodded. “I get it. She’s your apprentice too. It’s natural you’d look out for her.”
Then my expression turned cold. “But tell me, Andrew–can you accept an apprentice whose mind is full of nothing but how to hurt others? If that’s something you’re okay with, then forget I said anything.”
His face shifted slightly. He sighed. “No one wanted this to happen. I’m just trying to do my duty as your master. As for how to deal with her, I’ll handle it. You two are my apprentices. This ending is messy. Maybe you could both back off a little. Prison–it’ll ruin her life.”
A bitter feeling welled up in me. Did Evelyn ever care that we were his apprentice?
Did she ever think, if I’d really lost the ability to get pregnant, how would I survive in a place like the Eclipse Pack?
How would I ever face Caden?
However, I kept all those thoughts to myself.
But seeing Andrew lower himself to plead with me, I thought of all his guidance these past few days. I let out a long sigh and finally agreed. “Fine. I’ll do it.”
I picked up my phone and called the court, saying I was willing to drop the charges.
The court then re–evaluated the case, ruling that since Evelyn didn’t succeed in harming me, she would

only be fined one million. The prison sentence was lifted.
Andrew finally relaxed. He lowered his head and said, “Thank you.”
Watching my master thank me, my heart turned cold. I couldn’t help but ask, “She hurt me, Yes, you’re her master–but did you ever think about me?”
“I just wanted to fulfill my responsibility as a master,” he said gently, trying to calm me.
“You’re my master too. I won’t deny the kindness you once showed me. But now?” I took a deep breath, disappointment thick in my voice. “She hired trolls to attack me online–I could tolerate that. But she drugged my dessert. She tried to hurt me. Did she ever remember that we were your apprentices?”
Andrew frowned, staying silent.
“Yes, Rosaline. I made mistakes as a master. But in the end, she didn’t succeed. She was wrong–but nothing happened to you, right?”
I let out a bitter laugh.
His attempt to smooth things over completely broke any hope I had left.
“Because she was my peer, I ate the dessert she gave me. Because I knew what kind of person she was, I was cautious. I went to the bathroom and forced myself to throw up. If I hadn’t been careful, what would’ve happened to me?”
Andrew opened his mouth but had nothing to say.
“Honestly, if it weren’t for you, I probably never would’ve crossed paths with Evelyn. I never would’ve suffered like this…
He lowered his head quietly and sighed. “Karma … This is karma.
“There’s no point saying this now. It’s too late.” He looked up, pain in his eyes. “I’ve failed you both.”
“You don’t have to say anything anymore. What’s done is done.” I waved my hand, then looked him straight in the eyes. “From this day on, Andrew, you and I have nothing to do with each other. Our master- apprentice bond ends here.”
