Introvert 91
Chapter 91 How dare he? How dare he claim me as “his” when he is already in a relationship with Rubina? +50 Okay, yeah, I agree that I am still not okay with Kaiden and Rubina’s relationship and every fiber of me just hates, hates, hates, and hates Rubina for dating him, but that does not mean I will let him flirt with me. Anger and hate have their own place, and friendship has its own. I didn’t sign up for any of this–especially not betrayal served on a silver platter. But Kaiden’s disloyalty towards Rubina wasn’t just a quiet bruise on my conscience–it was a knife that grazed too close. My fists clenched by instinct, but it was my pride that stung most. It stretched taut across my chest like a wire pulled to its breaking point, suffocating and sharp. The rage began to fizzle just beneath my skin, pride wrapped too tightly around my ribs–and then… bam. My foot snapped forward and knocked the tip of his shoe–hard and sharp for thinking about making me his side click, whom he owns without any relationship status. My throat itched with words I held back with every ounce of control in my core. I bit the inside of my cheek, and the coppery taste of blood and bitterness warned me—if I didn’t walk away now, it wouldn’t just be my taste buds savoring the blood, but also my knuckles after landing a punch on his face. I turned on my heels and began to walk away. However, I might have barely made it two steps before I heard him follow me. “What the hell was that for?” he snapped, catching up, his hand curling around my elbow. His grip was soft yet firm, with an ultimate goal to stop me. And it succeeded as well. I spun around to face him, jaw clenched, lips twitching with unspoken fury. “That,” I said, jabbing a finger toward his chest, my eyes locked on his like daggers, “was for thinking you’re some kind of man out of a prehistoric fantasy.” He stared at me, brows furrowed and lips parted slightly, like his brain just froze. Classic. “You seriously think it’s fine for you to mess around with a hundred girls,” I said, voice rising despite the thumping music around us, my arms flailing slightly in frustration, “but your girl–oh no, she better stay untouched. Untouched and waiting for your royal highness.” “So you agree that you are my girl?” he said with a smirk, tilting his head with maddening calm as if he’d won a game I didn’t know we were playing. FUCK! “No, I am not. However, someone is, and you better look out for her. She is way, way, way more attractive than me. If I can pull one Mark, she can pull ten. No wonder you just jumped back at her when you got your ways cleared.” He blinked, taken aback, his mouth opening like he wanted to say something–but all that came out was, “What?” I laughed. Not the cute kind. The bitter, ‘are–you–kidding–me–right–now‘ kind. I even mimicked him, pitch–perfect, eyes rolling skyward like a tired actress in a tragic comedy. “What?” Then I dropped the act and shook my head, shoulders slumping from the sheer ridiculousness. “Don’t play dumb, Kaiden. You know exactly what I mean.” I jerked my hand free from his grasp, the skin on my wrist tingling in protest. “Go back inside. Go dance with your girlfriend,” I spat, making exaggerated air quotes around the word like it physically disgusted me, my nose wrinkling as if the word left a foul taste on my tongue. “The one who you were so desperate to patch up with that you didn’t even wait a month for the fire of our breakup to cool down.” 1/3 12:34 Fri 18 Apr Chapter 91…
